Someone headbutt these pyjaks.

Krogan are destroyers of all the things. If you get synched so easily you're doing it all wrong.

Give Krogan lots of health and shields, make a game mechanic where boss range shots make those irrelevant.
(To go along with this give them no dodge and little mobility.)
Give Krogans melee bonus choices in most of their trees, have sync killers that can remove you from the game for waves.
Create a fitness tree with large bonuses to either melee or % shileds and health that works against each other.

BioWare created the Krogan the way they are viewed as in a RAWR, shotgun/melee unit but gave them no shotgun bonuses (like the AIU has), made their great health and shields lamost meaningless in some situations and made pure melee a very dangerous endeavor due to sync kills.

all I hear is 'waaaaah playing a melee kit is toooo hard my krogan should be invincible'

because you know what? learn to Krogan. Or go play that crutch Krogan, the Warlord.

What? The Warlord is the melee kit for people who don't know how to play melee kits. That's the whole point of it.

Kroldier is times more crutchy than Warlord anyway.

I've seen a small handful of people do very well with the Krogan soldier or sentinel even on platinum. The Shaman can also be very power. When my friends and I tried platinum for the first time, a random guy with a Shaman carried our three asses through it like a boss.

The Warlord is my favorite character, and I feel that he his very powerful against anyone on gold. The last waves can get a little harry though.

Two things I think they should have done differently are, 1) Any character who doesn't use cover should sill be able to vault over obstacles or climb onto ledges. 2) I feel that it would be more canon and better balance if the Warlord struck a compromise on sync kills, where he goes through the animation, but begins the bleed out sequence rather than getting an actual sync kill. Krogan are supposed to have redundant systems, and with his regenerative abilities, most of the sync kill attacks are not believable for him. Possible exception to the Atlas.

Really, with the exception of the Atlas, I could make logical arguments against any of the synch kills due to his size and nature, but I feel that would be unbalanced.

No. Krolord is for playing a class completely melee, with no better way to play it. You can make most of the classes melee, but that doesn't mean it is the optimal way of playing them. You can play a completely melee batarian soldier, but that doesn't mean it is optimal, because the optimal is inferno cheese + blades with no blade armor.

Inferno destroys everything even without cheese.

How did this thread reach page 11? There's no argument (some argument, but I think enough has been discussed) for saying krogan are the worst race. Someone should have said,
"Krogan are awesome. L2P/thread"

I find the Krogan Soldier one of the easiest classes to do Gold with, even without the Incendiary glitch.  The faction he's worst against (Geth) can't take advantage of his biggest weakness (avoiding sync-kills).  Using an Adrenaline Module removes 90% of Krogan disadvantages.

I don't really play Platinum, but I could see how Krogan (esp the Sentinel) could be a worse on that level.

KroSent was one of my go to platinum carry classes when I started carrying platinum. Instant phantom kill button in the form of lift grenades? Incendiary cheese? DAMAGE REDUCTION?!?!111! Yespls.

I have always seen the Sentinel as better against small enemies and the Soldier as better against bosses (i.e., better on Plat).  Although, I guess I never really use Incendiary cheese on the Sentinel, so that may fix his problems with taking down bosses and make him good for Plat.

Then you are not reading my posts if all you are hearing is wah.  The krogan warlord is the worst of the bunch actually for lack of mobility, can't use cover, and sync kill waiting ot happen.  People are getting their kimmies all rustled as if I am personally insulting them or their krogan ancestors instead of actully refuting the points I have made about the contradictions of the game mechanics vs the options proivded for the proud krogan race.

A lot of people do well with krogans, especially the great players we have here on bsn.

Krogans are awesome, but the abilities they were given to be what is shown in the series (in your face, shotgun or heavy weapon, charge and melee) work against game mechanics they put in mp.  My original post was about the race, not a class being the worst in this regard and instead of people telling what other races are far worse I've gotten a lot of 'Krogans are great.'

Yes. It's an ez-mode melee kit. One kill to go into rage mode? Health regen? One hit kill Brutes? It's a joke. Melee Krogan made everything below phantoms a joke already. Anyone who can't run around  and melee stuff successfully with the Krogan warlord is a lost cause. It was already possible with all the other Krogan but the Krolord takes all the risk out of it.

Also, optimal with the Shaman is almost certainly a melee build. Only reason melee isn't optimal on the other Krogans is because of grenade capacity and the Reegar.

As usual one of the quality bsners looks at the world through bsn eyes, that being probably the best players, not all the rest of the people.  And another thread that did nothing to takle the points I made and refute them.

Who cares about what people who don't know how to play kits think?
It's not the kit's fault if they fail with them.

You always want to go and kill the small enemies first. A single Phantom is worth almost as much as an Atlas (wave budget). Even the almighty GI should ignore bosses as best it can. The Krodier's Inferno nades are garbage when you use em against enemies with strong barriers / shields - which all bosses have.

Abusing the Incendiary ammo bug is cheap; using crap like the lolcolyte and lolreegar worse. Sure you can do it, but then you're not playing [insert character] anymore. All Krogan are more than capable of handling Platinum easily without noobtubes. Fighting like some dumb-ass Salarian is worse than pissing on ancestral graves. If you cannot stand your ground the Headbutting way, you are unworthy to play as a Krogan.

Krogan can only be killed by boss units because KROGAN ARE BOSS UNITS

THEY ARE THE BOSS UNITS OF THE PLAYER SIDE

Boss vs Boss = fair

I thought this was a wind up thread but he seems serious. I still find it bizarre. Soldier and Sentinel are two of the strongest kits in the game, great survivability and damage. The Kroguard has insane survivability against almost every enemy, although does need a strong weapon. The shaman isn't in the same league but is still a tanky, cqc, adept with powerful biotic explosions. And the Warlord is the strongest, and only genuine, melee character in the game.

All of them are fine to take to platinum and keep up/dominate on the scoreboard. All of them are easy to solo at least gold with and some plat. I just don't know where you are coming from op. Perhaps you are fixated on Rage. Its only really a key mechanic for the Warlord and to a lesser extent the kroguard. But otherwise I am puzzled because they are strong and easy to play.

lol yup typical bsn attiude.  As stated in the 1st post all kits and races are tremendous on bsn as the quality of player on here can make any kit sing.  It doesn't mean some are better designed than others.
