Caratinoid, can I propose some balance changes for enemies?
Mostly stuff like making brutes and pyros move faster, make them a little more scary?
I'd do it myself only... you know how pcc editting goes... -_^
Also, similar to some of the cabal's attacks, might it be possible to add target exceptions for swarmers to certain powers? The cabal's attacks ignore swarmers if there are other targets in the vicinity, it's probably possible to change stuff like smash to do the same.
As a general rule, the patch will avoid any clearly visible balance changes unless something is clearly broken or doesn't work at all it will stay as is. The reason for this is that the patch will be compatible with non patched version so that you could play with unaware PUG's. It would be wrong to introduce new elements or modify existing ones because other people would be unaware of those changes. Nobody will notice that their shockwave is now working for example but some people might not like some of their cheese removed. We are still unsure that incendiary bugs should be removed.
That being said some small changes to enemies that would fix a certain broken aspect of their behaviour (like cannibals randomly taking off to consume some corpses while there are still players next to them) can be put on the list.
Swarmers are already on the list, they will no longer be considered for head count when casting a power or doing a BE. Right now doing a BE on a raveger will most often do no damage to ravager itself or other enemies in range if there are swarmers under it (biotic c***block). Shockwave or any other ranged attack will kill all swarmers in one cast if they are all in range.
Aye, that's good, I wasn't sure if it was worth mentioning as the swarmers eating the target cap of powers wasn't strictly a "bug" as such.
Also, I've added Chris Schanche as a friend, as he was referencing "dragoon audio" in a thread.
A change they made caused dragoons to lose some audio (presumably sounds and dialogue unique to the dragoon) prior to retaliation launching.
This audio might still exist in the game files, and you would be the man who might be able to fix it so it plays correctly. It would only affect the host, but at least the unique audio (dragoon's yelling stuff + cracking of whips according to Chris Schanche) would be present for people who had your patch installed.
And for what it's worth... Yes, incendiary ammo should be fixed. Beneficial bug is still a bug.
Skill points glitch should also be fixed if you can track down what's causing it. Another beneficial bug which also should be removed if possible.
Can you add a direction / facing check for phantoms too? So they cannot sync kill players that are in range, but standing BEHIND the phantom? This did crop up in a bug tracking discussion thread, and wondered if we could use the same code that fixed banshee magnet hands to prevent phantoms from being able to magnet sync kill players.
