I know months ago when we didn't know anything they said something like, "It's possible but don't go in there expecting it to happen". But since we're going to have the Keep I can't help but expect to have the ability to redesign my warden into DAI. >.< That's what I'm most excited about for the Keep and there's a good chance it's not even an option, lol
What about you guys?
Do you expect the Warden to come back?

I actually hope not.
My Wardens' stories are done. Let them enjoy the time they have left.

While I would love to see him/her, I don't really expect it that much. Again because of the variation, but with this Keep thing, it might be more then likely. But at the very least I expect to hear of him/her.

I expect name drops from characters like Morrigan, Leliana etc. but nothing more than that.

I expect name drops and maybe some agents or people acting on behalf of. Mostly, I expect Varric to tell, "Let me tell you about this one time me and Hawke..." stories, referencing your choices in DA2.

Hear about them, yes. Encounter them directly, no, just no. Either the warden or Hawke. They've had their moments, just leave 'em be.

I think my Warden will be in DAI in the sense that his influence will be seen throughout Ferelden, but I do not expect a cameo, nor do I really desire one.

You go into a tavern to meet with Leliana but instead you see her drunkenly making her way up the stairs with a drunk-ass dude.
Screen goes black, "Sorry for the delay. I had... business to attend to"
Izzy - Could I do the business with you?
And thats all you get.

My Warden can't come back. She became the first Griffon test pilot. Griffons are hungry. It did not go well.

I wouldn't mind the stinger have Morrigan commenting on how the events of the game played out as the camera pans to show her son playing with his father, who's face is just out of frame.

Of course not. I'd love it to happen if there were a way to do it right, but the most I can expect I think is a mention from the people who knew him or her. Maybe even a reference to their origin, if we're really lucky.

I think it'd be lame if they didn't come back eventually (not necessarily anytime soon). It only hurts the game world to have someone who stopped a blight (and possibly lived) to up and disappear. This kind of thing gets a pass in too many games. I'd like to see it turned on it's head for once. It reduces RPGs to a played out trope.. the old cowboy/hero "riding off into the sunset" thing. For a genre that prides itself on storytelling, it needs to do better than tropes. There are other types of games that conclude their stories in richer ways.

I'd only be cool with that, if it was a body, cut up and lying on Flemeth's dinner table. Somehow, I'd be OK with that.
Otherwise, I want an actual story.
