I didn't end up voting for ME, actually.

Fallout would be my pick, assuming it eventually goes up against GTA in a final.

I didn't like GTA IV, but GTA had three massive, ground-breaking games in a row. San Andreas stands up today as one of the greatest games ever made.

Obviously, I love Mass Effect, too, I just didn't vote for it.

ME3 was a wet dogfart of a game - it will never get my vote. The ending was utter rubbish.

Do not get me wrong, I loved the MP portion of the game.  I still play it and have a blast.

However, the SP part was a scam by Bioware.  It was an unfinished game with some of the worst writing I have ever seen.  I will never forget the lies, false advertisement, day one DLC - and your 'artistic integrity'.

This game does not deserve to be number one, or even top ten.  Bioware can thank Mac and Casey for that.

What a nonsense poll ... pit Total War against Tomb Raider to start? How would you even compare them? PC gaming accounts for a minority compared to consoles so Tomb Raider is going to win by default as the console gamers will never have had a chance to play Total War... and it's a completely different kind of game.

Starcraft, the favoured child of the eSports crowd isn't even mentioned (OK, there have only been 2 iterations of it really but it's been going for about 15 years).

The platform exclusives (like Forza or Metal Gear Solid) will always garner fewer votes than multi-platform releases; everything is going to be biased towards the largest user-base irrespective of how good the games actually are.

The ending was rubbish yes but up until the end game where you assaulted the cerberus base, it was pretty good. The Quarian/Geth and Genophage conflict and choices was nice. I especially like how you could renegade the response to the militant quarian admiral and Mordin's paragon end was a nice closure to his character.

The scripting of Kai Leng and his gunship on Thessia could have been worked better and the addition of the kid and the slo mo sequences to milk sympathy was so obvious it was an insult to intellect but that was about it.

Haha. I don't post in the multiplayer forum regularly. This thread just showed up on my feed. About a year ago he made a thread in the Mass Effect 3 story and campaign section that I found funny, and at the time my BSN username was "GT Zazzerka" which I've since changed.

Huh. Man, any court would convict.

i'm actually surprised DA didn't get further although I guess the lack of online play hurt it,

skyrim is plagued by a bug that stops you being able to play for more than an hour at a time and the previous games wernt that good,

ME3 ending was a bit odd however as a series ME its way better than GTA (because of the storyline the setting the artwork etc etc) so in reality ME should win that one but it probably wont

if by some miracle ME gets through to the final it will loose out to skyrim simply because of the number of players (most of which never played the previous games) out of GTA and Elder Scrolls i'd rather see Elder scrolls win (again because its far better in terms of conceptualisation/art/storyline) GTA is just garbage idealising the hoodrat lifestyle (short, violent and messy) with nasty boxy graphics that appealed to kids of all ages as an alternative lifestyle choice most wouldn't dream of ever doing in reality much the same as the reasons why second life and wow became such instant hits all those years ago ...
