[Miranda/Liara] Problem ?

I've romanced Liara in Me1 and Miranda in Me2 and after what i know, Miranda die if you break up with her in Me3 (i love Liara huh huh).
SO, If I break up with Miranda after the suicide mission in Me2, can i save her ? For the Role playing, if i had sex with Miranda (even with the Break up after the final in Me2), Liara will talk about miranda ? Or just ignore her ? And Miranda will talk about shepard and her (even a little) or acting like nothing passed ?
(Yeah I like RP)
Thanks All !

Liara will probably still talk about it.
Miranda will also likely still talk about it, though I've never left MIranda after lowering my tolerance threshold enough to romance her.
Seriously though, why leave Miranda for Liara. If you left Liara for Miranda already, you might as well stay with perfection and take the non-romance storyline of Liara. She pays attention more.

I like Miri too, but in my "RP game" i just want a little "drama" in my romances (without dies of course..)

- You can break up after the Suicide Mission in ME 2.
- The first time you meet her in ME 3, tell her "you always want her in your life" and then talk about her family. This may sound like you're trying to get together again, but it doesn't necessarily translate into a relationship.
- Without spoilers, let's just say she will ask you for a few favors in different moments and you should help her whenever she requests it.
- The others steps with Liara and Miranda will be quite intuitive.

While Miranda’s “survival guide” is pretty much confirmed and well known at this point, it maybe probably be of some worth mentioning in this page (or the character’s) a couple things regarding her being romanced and the breakup resulting in her death:
1) If you break off a romance with her IN ME3 she will die, no matter what. You can break things off with her at the very end of ME2 (before import) she’ll appear to take it well and continue friendly after (though the save file will not flag her as romanced).
2)- It is possible to “bypass” Miranda’s death while pursuing another romantic interest in ME3: by reassuring her and not breaking things up in the first encounter at the docks, then “locking in” the other romance BEFORE the apartment encounter – where she will then treat Shepard as a friend ( same conversations as though she was never romanced) – but the bottom line is, whether an oversight or by game design, there is NO breakup in this scenario, which means no death.
As a sidenote: from a role-playing point of view, the first route in particular might be interesting for players having trouble with all this, considering:
• Shepard will be Earth-bound at the beginning of ME3 (and especially if Arrival was completed), the breakup at the end of ME2 would seem like a mature decision on both parts at that point, both would then have moved on but remained good friends, despite having had an involvement/romance during the events of Mass Effect 2.
• If Shepard plans to be with another squad mate in ME3 – but particularly if Liara was romanced, because of the events in LotSB (with the kiss interrupt and the love scene aboard the Normandy), maybe Shepard realizes Liara is “the one” and decides to break up with Miranda.
• The second option can also be headcanon’ed however the player sees fit, while the purpose is keeping her alive.
It's Perfect ! I copy and past If someone have the same problem !

Especially this quote ! Really usefull to know !

Oh ? So even, you break up with Miranda in ME2 (after the suicide mission), you can say to her "you always want her in your life" ? It's weird, no ?

I have tested it, My Shepard went back with Ash in ME 3 and this conversation does not mess with your locking it down with Liara or Ash later on.

Friend Miranda has no such conversation. She says stupid stuff like, "Commander Shepard, we live in intereting times." She doesn't bring up being in anybody's life.pablodomi wrote...
Exactly what MUPP3TZ said. The context of the conversation is that she apologizes for not going to visit you while you were under home arrest. Rather than being dismissive, you tell her you want her in Shepard's life, it can also mean you want to stay in touch and be ther efor each other in times of need. It is also what sheaprd would tell Miranda as a friend, since right after that you insist she tells you what is bothering her.

As soon as you go to another person, you'll automatically break up with the first. Miranda will not die if you do it this way. Only if you flat out tell her that you can't be together, while importing a continued romance where you did not break up with her in2, will she die.Jeehan27 wrote...
Oh ! Ok, when i can break up with Miranda ? Later in the party ? After Horizon ?

As noted above however there is a bit of a cheat where you can avoid that by having Shepard string Miranda along, and then just locking in Liara as the LI when you get that conversation in ME3. The game then doesn't register Miranda as having been dumped and she survives.
As for Liara commenting on a previous Mirimance, IIRC she mentions it briefly in one of the conversations where you have to confirm an interest in Liara. No snark involved though. (Jealousy isn't really Liara's thing) I don't remember the exact words but it is something like, "I know you and Miranda were close, and was just wondering where we stand."

No, it does not.Han Shot First wrote...
Miranda will die if Shepard is straight forward and breaks up with her in ME3. I'm not sure what happens if you break it off in ME2, but I'd guess she'd still die, since I believe breaking up with her also drops her loyalty status.

If you break up with her in ME3 she dies.
Better question.
Dafuq, would you break up with Miri?
She's the best romance for maleshep.
And she's hot. And smart. And a BAMF. And, she's got, shall we say
ASSets.

As for being hot, smart, a BAMF, and ASSets...well Liara's also got all of those bases covered. If that's the only criteria the OP couldn't go wrong either way.

A lot of words describe Miranda. Badass isn't one of them. She's too much of a cheerleader to be badass. And a BAMF.
You've found the right answer finally. The secret. Dat ass. Keep Miranda for dat ass. And, she's got, shall we say
ASSets.

Except she is.
Singularity canonically is the most difficult biotic ability to master, and it is among Liara's skill set. That places in her the top tier of biotics.
Whether or not a player likes a character has no bearing on whether that character is canonically powerful. That is defined by the writers.
