Hello All,
I know this thread is late to the party, but figuring out where to look for the info hasn't worked out thus far.
I am just looking for an explanation of how the "Galaxy At War" system works in effecting your SP experience. I have the PS3 Trilogy and the only manual is on the disc..for example it mentions things about leveling up a character in MP and importing them into your SP Galaxy At War...only there is no explanation as to what it is or how it works.
Can anyone give me a rundown on this stuff, what is it, how it works, what it effects..etc.
Thanks for your help.

I assume it works by increasing the amount of people surviving the war and increasing the readiness due to that. you could say it works by improving the supply lines and reducing the amount of Reaper troops in a given sector.
I honestly have no clue.

Does your rating affect what happens to the narrative in SP? (A better phrased question perhaps).

The better your rating, the more options you get in the ending. And the options get better with a higher score.

Promoting characters in MP creates an N7 squad WA in SP, which works just like any other war asset. Basically, if you play a bit of MP then you don't have to scan every last system and find every last scattered WA. If you do this too much then you'll start the game with enough WA to beat the Reapers outright i.e. you won't be able to get the "bad" endings.
In addition, actively playing the game gives you a better multiplier (up to 100%, slowly falls to 50%), Basically, if you don't play MP you need twice as many WA.

Pritty much what Alex said hits it square on the head. But don't think that you are required to play MP to get the best endings. If your diligent enough in your SP completionist ways you can easily get enough ware assets to get the best endings having never touched the MP once. I did that on my first playthrough and it worked out just fine.
