If there was no confrontation in ME2 then sure. The first time she brings it up, sure fair enough. But bringing it up again ten minutes later even after killing a load of Cerberus lackeys while they attempt to kill him, as well as James' reassurance that Shep had no contact with them, and then again after you've effectively saved her? Too much.

Never work for the governement. I mean ever. Never get a governement job where the security of even a single life is at stake. We would all be dead by now if this kind of logic were used.

See, I actually like Ashley though. It's why she doesn't ever make it to ME3, I don't like how the game takes her character out to the shed and shooting it like Old Yeller. Obviously it's not because "she doesn't suck up" that I don't like her in ME3, because she sucked up less in ME1 (where I like her) then she does in ME3.

She doesn't even talk enough to suck up to you. What are you talking about?

I am aware of how deception works. I am also aware that everyone except Ash trusted Sheps loyalty. Ashley was paranoid. Understandable like I said at first, but dragging it on made her come off as petty. It made her character much weaker compared to ME1.

Well that's about half the problem right there. Ashley was social and loved to talk in ME1, yet is practically a recluse who never speaks to you (or anyone else really) in ME3. Kaidan talks to you and a bunch of other people on the ship, Ashley... Doesn't. Of course, this is why Citadel DLC might make me give her ME3 self another chance, I've heard she actually becomes social and talkative again at the party, becomes the ME1 Ashley again. It won't fix the problem, the party is only an hour or 2 of content, but it's enough. I've brought Kaidan into ME3 so many times that I practically have all his dialouge memorized at this point, I need a shake up... I plan to let the Council die in ME1 for the first time too, so I am definitely thinking of mixing things up this time.

Only thing stopping me from picking Ashley at this point is my class. I was already in the middle of my infiltrator playthrough when I posted in here yesterday. I could use another biotic, but another soldier/sniper type character? My party already has that with Shepard, Ashley is a bad choice class-wise. I should wait until a playthrough where I'm a biotic class so that another heavy hitter solider will actually be useful. I don't know...
