I would think it's completely obvious.

You're complaining that having most characters be good looking is a 'fantasy' on the grounds that such a thing supposedly wouldn't occur in real life. Is that right? So I'm asking you why you've conveniently forgotten the idea that it's probably not very likely for a person to be surrounded by smart, fit, and brave people either.

So I want you to explain to me why you're complaining about characters being attractive and not about their other good traits.

Hanar, the fact that they supposedly have flaws doesn't change the solid fact that the squadmates are smart, brave, and fit, and the player is just as unlikely to be surrounded by such characters in real life as being surrounded by attractive characters. In fact, a great deal more so, considering courage is a great deal rarer than physical beauty.

It's clear to me that you don't really have an answer.

All this is is hypocrisy. Pure and simple. You whine about characters being beautiful but accept all their other positive traits without question.

No, it's not.  People who didn't possess those characteristics wouldn't be able to serve effectively as squadmates.  Well, except smart, but I don't know if I'd count all squadmates as necessarily smart.

Whereas people could be very effective squadmates while being really ugly.

Though I don't really have a problem with many of them being attractive so long as "attractive" is interpreted to include an appropriately wide variety of people, rather than effectively making everyone looking the same.

My problem with ME3 would be that "attractive" had a tendency to be interpreted only as "large boobs", and in Ashley's case "looking like Miranda".

Not really. Every person has their strong traits and their weak traits. Every squadmate did not have all of those traits. Besides, considering the backgrounds they each have, it is perfectly reasonable that they have these traits. They are military people on a military vessel. Much more likely than all of them having good looks. People having positive traits in their personality is not a fantasy.

Remind me what David's is.
