Been lurking in the shadows of BSN and never actually said anything.

Well I thought if I ever say anything it may as well be for this.
I remember being 'off sick' from school and my mum shouting down at me, telling me something horrible was happining in america.
I was 16. And I understood. An evil like that changes the way u kinda see things in life. And to this day I remember those who died that I did not know.
So I say leave a message and ur town / memories and pay tribute to those not here.

I'm just gonna say this and be done with it. Seeing the video of those people jumping out of the building is a memory that will always be engraved in my recollection of 9/11.

ok last time i write anything. yes im not an american. but my brother died fighting in Afghanistan. they didnt directly hit the uk but my brother died for it and i am proud of him. thats why i posted this. he was royal irish regiment. its not only americans who were affected.

I'm Asian-American and I remember that day very clearly. I haven't forgotten, but I've moved on, and so have a lot of other folks. And you should too. Quit picking on old wounds.

9th november is still less then a month away. And what's so special about that day?

I was there.... while people were walking away from the crash site I was walking towards it thinking my ex gf was dead. Spent the entire day looking for her and the phone lines were jammed so calls couldnt go through. Finally later in the day I was able to get a call through to her parents and they had heard that she was ok...I walked for 10 hours that day and even accross the Williamsburg bridge to get to her apartment to see her. All transportation was shut down so I had to stay in Brookly for three days which was good as it took me three days for my legs to heal from how much soreness and pain I had. Later on I found out I lost some friends and they had lost family and friends that day too....

Believe me...I couldnt look at a picture of the Twin towers for at least 5 years without feeling anger and pain. Thats all in the past but I pray that none of you ever have to experience that for sure. I pray God may keep all of you from things like these. Its been a long time though and we all need to move on. I have.

On September 10th I boarded a ship for a Caribbean cruise out of Miami. Next morning everyone was woken up to the captain announcing something 'horrible and underscribable has occurred', please turn on your TVs

Worst holiday ever, all shore leaves were cancelled, as we sat in the middle of the gulf of Mexico for 8 days while everyone on board was continually watching CNN and crying.

sorry if i offended anyone by bringing this up and if i knew how to close a topic i would. just wanted to pay tribute to my brother and those who lost their lifes. to all those who shared a story.. thank you, it helps me deal with his death in some way

I was 18 in college, thought it might be the first strike in a war.

My father missed certain death by 24 hours. He was at the top of one of the towers on the 10th.

I feel you Invader.  My ex GF watched the whole thing go down from just across the river in BK.  I was so worried that either her or my father, who travels to NYC for work all the time was hurt or dead.

i was 11 then in SF bay area.
lots of my school chums thought it was a movie stunt like that hotel building from mars attack.
oh boy, they were wrong.

i still miss dat ez flying.
