I never had the figurines the game was based on, but I had tons of fun with this.

Some game on Sega Genesis. I want to call it Mickey Mouse's Haunted House? You could play as either Mickey or Minnie and also co-op.
Pac man and donkey kong

In Search of the Most Amazing Thing.

But I did not complete the game. A unique thing about the game was the player navigated around the world in a hot air ballon. Player had to consider wind direction, wind speed, altitude, weight and fuel for navigating the balloon. I do not believe there has been another game in which the player controls/navigates a hot air balloon.
The first game I played to the end was:

Thus began my lifelong love for WRPG. I played Ultima IV it on an Apple II at first but did not complete it. A few years later, I played it again on a PC (MS DOS) and finally finished it. It was the first game I completed.
Origin Systems (which made the Ultima series) was the undisputed king of CRPG back in the days, (i.e., 1980s and 1990s.) Then the mantle was passed onto Black Isle. Then to BioWare. Then to Blizzard, (for World of WarCraft, which I have never played.) Now (more or less) to Bethesda; I read a lot of buzz and praises for Bethesda these days.
I still hate Bethesda. They made really buggy games that broke people's computers back when they started making games in the 1990s. I remember installing Daggerfall on my Windows 95, (which was a big mistake.) I played around for a few hours, and found the game to be tedious, monotomou and overrated. Daggerfall was a gigantic world, but it was the same things over and over again. Without any variation or personality. Everywhere was the same towns, the same villages, the same dungeons, the same quests, the same NPCs, with just different names. And the endless bugs and glitches took out all the fun (if the game had any.) So I uninstalled Daggerfall... that was when it removed some Windows system files and screwed up my computer. My computer could not start and I had to reininstalled the operating system. I have refused to buy any Bethesda game since then.
I still want to get this out of my chest: "**** YOU BETHESDA."
Here is an irony. Black Isle also made games with horrible game-stopping bugs. At least Black Isle games did not break computers, (while Bethesda has the reputation for breaking people's computers in their early days.) I enjoyed the Fallout series and Planescape: Torment, even though they were buggy when they first came out. So when Bethesda took over the Fallout license, my initial thought was, "hey, that's a good match. Betheda is a good candidate to take over Black Isle games -- because both Black Isle and Bethesda could not make anything without shitty bugs and glitches even if their survival was depended on it," (and Black Isle really could not; which was why Black Isle did not survive as a company.)
But I admit, Bethesda seems to have come a long way since Daggerfall.

Digger! On a crappy old pc!
Digger! On a crappy old pc!
Digger (1983) was actually a clone of a Japanese arcade game called Dig Dug (1982). For some reason Digger was confused/mistitled as Dig Dug in East Asia. PS3 actually got a remake of Digger with HD graphics but less charming music.

Hey I wasn't aware of that, I just remember playing it all the time on that pc along with my sisters, we had this old pc we shared and then we had a timer we set where we each had a certain amount of time on it lol and we were really strict about not crossing that time!!! haha. I also remember Donkey Kong!!! That was the next game I think along with Tetris!
Tetris or Prince of Persia on the Gameboy Advance. I can't remember whether I had my playstation or Gameboy first. Good times.

It was the classic Super Mario Brothers 1. It was love at first sight.
To this day, my favorite, ever. So many fond memories. It was a happy childhood during the 80s. Things were so simpler back then.

Not sure I even beat that game at a young age. Link to the Past is where the nerdgasming started for me. The formula's fun in the original, but that game really will kick you around. The Knights are super pesky to kill, I usually use the blocks to keep them apart from me, wait for them to get close, and start hacking away.Zelda on the NES it kicked my @$$.
