I don't know what to say about this thread, so I'll just hold onto my initial statement.

I'm trying to live by the code, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

First of all, JRPG's have no teens in them, at all. Well, atleast the one you mentioned (FF series) has no teens. They are all people in their 20's+. Second of all, I'm 21 almost, and teens are way to young for me, the youngest I would consider dating is 18 or 19. (since its not very far for me, but don't get me wrong, once you exceed 23, (+5 yrs), teens are way out).

Alien ages are hard to judge because if an alien lived to be only 3 human years, they would most likely be mature and "attractive" by 1 or 2 years. As such, would that be pedo? no... But irregardless, Bioware has kept it simple for you and kept everything about equal and Tali is in her 20s. /fail

I'm not a moralist, and I'm also one of the apparently few who understand that being attracted to someone who hasn't reached the age of consent doesn't make you a pedophile, but if all you can be attracted to is teens then you have a bit of a problem, even if you find one they'll grow up eventually.

The sad truth is, there are pedophiles everywhere and it is a sad state of mind and mentality if you ask me. I'm sorry, but as cute as teens can be, they are kids and should be viewed as such. I have never been attracted to anyone under the age of 18 and will never be, it's just something way too "young" about them to even stir up an attraction. Some people are sick, and I will not judge the OP prematurely, but there is something to be said about signs, and the OP is showing...signs. Who asks for teenage love interests, unless you are a teen?

Even at 18 I liked 18+ year olds. This again is a sad post and I almost feel dirty simply for posting in it.

Age of consent laws are in theory put in because the society does not beleive the person of a younger age can trully consent.  There minds are too immature and and older person with more experince could effectivly control them, making them "consent"

The problem is mental age is rarely determined by actual age.  The girl where I used to  recently work met the boss when she was 19, she did not have the mental maturity to deal with a manipulative, controlling, psychologically abusive ass like him.(since he just laid off the entire office, my opinion of him may be biased)  When she speaks about the boss she sounds like a cultist talking about there religious leader.  It is kind of creepy, and I might feel bad for her if she wasn't 28 now.(if she was hot I'd still feel bad for her)  Theoretically younger people have a better chance to end up like victims like her.

So I guess the point is, people see a harm being done.  The younger person is being harmed frequently because they could not freely consent and were maipulated or controlled into doing it.

By the way as a note the age of consent laws vary by state in America, I beleive it is 14 in washington state, but the older party can not be in a position of authoirty.(cop, teacher etc.)  Past 18, they ca date who they want.

The picture is awesome so I kept it.

Final Fantasy has had teens.  Penelo (パンネロ, Pannero?) is a 17 year-old (16 year-old in the Japanese version), Vann in the same FF12 was 17.

They have had more, but they are portryaed as kids and immature, and not as sex objects.  Though other JRPGs have been less restrained.
