How will Loghain affect Inquisition?

I have a human male mage who became Teyrn of Gwaren, recruited Loghain, had Alistair and Anora marry, and did the Dark Ritual, so Alistair is king, my Amell is a high-nobleman of Ferelden while Hawke, the scion of the Amell family in Kirkwall is the Champion, his brother a templar, and Loghain is still very much alive (added into the dark ritual so I'll have the Old God Baby.)
So I figured I'd start this thread to see how we as a gaming community will speculate the (unlikely) affect Loghain will have in Inquisition since I assume most people killed him, whether at the Landsmeet or facing the Archdemon since they don't trust Morrigan.
How will anti-Orlesian Loghain, Ferelden's greatest general, now gifted with the abilities of a Grey Warden, affect or interact with the Inquisitor?

At the end of awakening, if Loghain is alive it says something like "his aged body couldn't withstand the taint for long and he went on his calling having earned the respect of his fellow wardens." If he's in DA:I it will either be a retcon or a Larius type deal.
Wait, really?
I can't remember anything of the sort.
My Warden exiled Alistair, married Anora and kept Loghain alive and well.
All that happened in Awakening was that Loghain said he was being sent off to Orlais.
Though maybe I just can't remember it.
Plus, the epilouge slides don't seem to have much impact. Cullen supposedly went mad after DA:O in my game, yet he appeared in DA2 none the worse for wear.

The other epilogues already resulted as they predicted!Nefla wrote...

And if he and Alistair are both alive- especially if Alistair's king- I'm hoping to sit those two down in a room and see what happens. For all the hate Alistair has for the man, he's never actually had a conversation with him.

"Loghain remained with the Grey Wardens, pressed into service as the primary recruiter in Ferelden. He performed diligently for several years, until finally the taint wore too hard on his aged body. After a solemn service with his fellow Wardens, Loghain traveled to Orzammar to take his final march into the Deep Roads." Just did this about a week ago
Other ending
If Loghain is conscripted but survives the final battle, then he becomes a major recruiter for the Grey Wardens in Ferelden before getting reassigned to the Orlesian Grey Wardens in Montsimmard by request of Weisshaupt Fortress itself. If a hardened Alistair marries Anora, this is still the outcome.
If you are king he shows up to meet you briefly in DAOA.

He meets you in Awakening regardless of whether or not you're king. Just if you happen to be king he gives you a "I want grand kids" line.
Now I have to make a male Cousland for that line alone.

Well, he doesn't say it word for word. Hey just encourages you to hurry up and make an heir already.

Well, he would know that the Grey Wardens have reduced fertility, so he's probably saying "get busy, it might not happen otherwise." But I still really want to hear that line now. And I was just considering making a female cousland and marrying Alistair, but whatever. My dwarf will have Alistair rule alone, hardened, and my cousland will marry Anora and have Alistair stay in the Wardens.
So many ideas, so many ways this may affect Inquisition.

You can't do that, if Loghain lives and the Warden and Anora decide to marry, Alistair can only be executed or spared and become a wandering drunk, there is no option for him to stay in the Wardens.

I never said he would live in my next playthroughs...although I could've been more clear.
Loghain lived in my Amell playthrough, and I became Teyrn of Gwaren, and after I beat it, it got me speculating.
I intend to have Loghain die in my next two playthroughs. My dwarf will have Alistair duel him as a sort of "human proving" to determine who truly has the ancestors favor, andmy cousland will marry Anora and have Alistair remain a Grey Warden, and Loghain will die.
Just going through possibilities and seeing how they affect Inquisition, and speculating up the whazoo about it.

Yeah, my Surana Warden spared Loghain, and they seemed pretty relaxed with each other when they met again. I imagine Loghain could play a part if Orlais has designs on Ferelden, and he's still alive by Act III of Dragon Age II ("King Alistair").

On a side note, doing "Return to Ostagar" with Loghain and Wynne does provide a lot of interesting food for thought. Loghain and Wynne really don't get along, but Loghain's comments really got me thinking and seeing his side of things.
Especially when you learn about King Cailan's plans to wed Empress Celene and Wynne's inability to recognize what a disaster that would be for Ferelden, which was supposed to be part of the main game (with Celene in Denerim).

Yeah. That was the dialogue that really got me. Also Wynne's inability to see the tactical side of the battle, which Loghain was trying to explain, and he was fed up by her saying he ignored his duty, regardless of what the consequences would've been if he had done it, and so on. It was the first time I ever played "Return to Ostagar" with Loghain, and that was this morning.

I thought Loghain only thought he was giong to marry the Empress, becaue he's paranoid.

I think it's important that we have the DA: Keep. It makes it much more likely that people would want - and be able to get to see - a world state that involves Loghain being alive.
Loghain's first love is Ferelden. Depending on what the plotline is for the game, I think he'd be there unless there was an even greater darkspawn threat facing it elsewhere.
