Not really. You recruit Loghain, you lose Alistair. But if you harden Alistair and make him promise to marry Anora, he'll still marry Anora and become King, and you have Loghain in your party. And if you do the Dark Ritual, Loghain lives and gets sent by the Wardens to Orlais as they feel he'll interfere with Ferelden's throne.
