As with both previous Dragon age games the pc gets a mabari either in the group or as a specail summon spell. I Would love to run into battle with my faithful k9 at my side once more and hears the funny comments from party members about how it ate something or left a dead bird in their knickers. would any one els like to have the mabari return if so as what a DAO style party member or as a DA2 summon spell?

No, I want a cat. Cats are infinitely better.

You might say they are...purrrr-fect!

As much as I love my pet mabaris, I wouldn't mind something different.

Most definitely. This time though I would love if the dog was handled as a permanent summon. So a combination of your dog in DAO who was upgradable and a full member of the party, but also like DA2 where you can choose to unsummon or summon him as you wish and his placement in the party doesn't occupy a fully member slot, but simply that of a summon.

That said since a lot of people seem to want something different, the Mabari could alternatively be used as a racial perk for Humans. Elves, dwarves and Qunari could all have their own summon or equivalent perk to provide greater gameplay variation. Though that would likely mean the those summons wouldn't have much personality or interaction with the group.

I actually hope they make your horse like the mabari was in the past games and let you name it and interact with it, but that's just me...

Battle nugs.

Failing that, a ghast companion.

Same, interacting with your mount would be really neat.

I'd like a giant spider or scorpion for pet/mount.

Purrr-fect indeed

But still, mabari is a mabari, and Inquisitor, as being a kind of big deal needs to have one.

Maybe if they gave this Mabari a really distinct personality. But not if they're just another generic dog. We don't need to recycle the same thing in every game.

And we'll have horses, for people who want a pet.

why not another breed? i love mabaris but if we get a dog this time around again i hope its something else. i highly doubt thedas has only two types of dogs, mabaris and those little grey heeler lookin guys. there has to be a couple more.

A newly hatched Griffon Kitten would be ideal. Small enough that riding it wouldnt be an option.

Or a parrot with snarky dialogue. That would be perfect.
