Also it seems like the Inquisitor will have a pet raven.

I love Mabaris so I definitely wouldn't complain if they added one. But if they want to think outside the box they could always give us a baby dragon.Just imagine Cassandra's reaction to you owning one of the very creatures she specializes in killing.

I suspect that raven is Morrigan.

Gaider's Tumblr: "And, no, the bird is not actually part of the game. #dreamkiller" Le sigh.
Despite being an avid dog lover, I never got attached to my mabari. I'd like to have another pet, but would love to see more options.

That is a brilliant idea! but what would dwarves summon? I don't thing nugs can really do much damage. Elves could summon forest animals. qunari...horned mabariEnduinRaylene wrote...
Most definitely. This time though I would love if the dog was handled as a permanent summon. So a combination of your dog in DAO who was upgradable and a full member of the party, but also like DA2 where you can choose to unsummon or summon him as you wish and his placement in the party doesn't occupy a fully member slot, but simply that of a summon.
That said since a lot of people seem to want something different, the Mabari could alternatively be used as a racial perk for Humans. Elves, dwarves and Qunari could all have their own summon or equivalent perk to provide greater gameplay variation. Though that would likely mean the those summons wouldn't have much personality or interaction with the group.

Mabaris are Fereldan tho. So unless the Inquisitor comes form Fereldan it wouldn't make much sense.Mr Cloud wrote...

No, I want a cat. Cats are infinitely better.
You might say they are...purrrr-fect!
This. Cats are the best. *goes back to watching internet cat videos*
Purrr-fect indeed
But still, mabari is a mabari, and Inquisitor, as being a kind of big deal needs to have one.

As with both previous Dragon age games the pc gets a mabari either in the group or as a specail summon spell. I Would love to run into battle with my faithful k9 at my side once more and hears the funny comments from party members about how it ate something or left a dead bird in their knickers. would any one els like to have the mabari return if so as what a DAO style party member or as a DA2 summon spell?
I want a cat, something a long the lines of a lion, tiger, or liger but i would take a house cat as long as it did something useful (unlike Ser Pounce-A-Lot stupid cat didn't do a damn thing in combat). Besides cats are vicisious and more dangerous animals than dogs.
Besides cats rule and dogs drool!

Make it optional. Please.
Seriously.
Don't force it on human characters again. Thanks.
Make it ignor-able and kill-able again like DAO, for human characters as well, or better yet, make it summon-able again ala DA2 if it must be there.
And for the love of god Bioware, don't make it stay in our castle/base against our will. I don't want to hear that incessant, infernal barking every two seconds.

Well thats what I meant by equivalent perk. They don't all have to be summons they could have an ability or skill of some kind, but I'm sure most people would be annoyed if 3 had summons and 1 didn't. But Dwarves could have Brontos, they do breed them, Deepstalker is another option, though less likely.
I still prefer just a Mabari like I described so they can give it a real personality and inclusion into the party, if all 4 had a pet I'm not sure thye would create as much personality and interaction with the rest of the party since it would be split 4 ways.

A summon like in DA2 would be great, but it needs to be modifiable as per the ones in Origins, since even on easy mode, the Dog tended to fall in battle far too quickly in DA2.

Give my Inquisitor a pet dragon baby. :3
Yesss, or a Corrupted Spider that can spit venom, shoot webs, and do that cool "overwhelm" move.
