Since the game won't be released for at least another year, BioWare have plenty of time to make any needed changes to the game, so I propose that we list here all of the little details/events/characters from the first two games that BioWare might otherwise overlook! The things that immediately come to mind:

Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age Awakening:

1. Putting (a) survivor(s) (if there were any besides the Warden and Duncan) from the taking of Castle Cousland by Howe into the game, like Iona (if you didn't sleep with her), Mother Mallol and Ser Gilmore for example.

2. Putting the other origins characters who didn't end up joining the Wardens into the game, since as far as i know only the Dwarf commoner and Dalish Elf are confimed to be dead if they didn't join the Wardens.

3. Bella or Kaitlyn being the wife od Bann Teagan if you gave them enough money to make it to Denerim and start over.

4. Bevin showing up as an adventurer in a side-quest if you gave him back his grandfather's sword.

5. Have Alec and his order of knights appear in the game if the Warden-Commander had him join the army in Awakening.

6. Since the Warden-Commander's sword Vigilance (if you had Wade make it from the materials you collected) was supposedly stolen by the Antivan Crows after the end of Awakening, the Inquisitor should have a chance to acquire in a sidequest.

7. The Silver Order being present in the game if you choose to invest in silverite armor for the soldiers of Vigils's Keep.

Dragon Age II:

1. The ship Isabela could acquire being visitable.

Why would the silver order show up if they are Amanranthine's army ?

Also that's a awful lot of tertiary NPCs I don't even remember, occasional cameos are fine, but I 'd rather not have a new game full of old NPCs

The dwarf noble's offspring, even if I have to manually fix that in the keep. Also what it's like in Orzamar under the new king's rule. especially if the dwarf noble was made Harrowment's successor.

What Alistair, Anora, and Loghain have been up to if alive, or the vacuum they left behind.

At least a cameo about what all the surviving companions are up to, even if it's a town crier. "New of the hour! Grey Warden and brother/sister of Kirkwall's Champion saves Harrowment/Bhelan expedition to Deep Roads!"

Does Shale get her mortality back?

What happened to Tallis after Mark of the Assassin, especially if she semiromanced Hawke?

What happens to Isabella if she never comes back?

What was in the book Morrigan left behind, and those that stayed with it?

Because we are going to visit Ferelden in the game, and even if we weren't, the more soldiers you have to fight the demons crossing the Veil, the better!

Maybe we pay a visit to Amaranthine?  I'm almost certain that somee as important as the Inquisitor is going to have an audiance with the Commander of the Gray, or their emissary.

Thankfully, my neighbor's cat just had a litter of kittens, so there's a fresh batch of them for punting.

If things are dire enough they may have been sent elsewhere, they way many forces were massing at Ostagar (probably a bad example). You know what would be funny? If that guy you can conscript in Awakening during the legal matters quest became a companion.

"So how did you learn to handle a sword like that?"

"When the Commander of the Gray ends a blight and then tells you to fight in her/his army, you do it."

The game should be one big Illium where every npc from past games has at least one cameo, including the facebook-game ones.

I rarely do those quests, so what would be in its place?  another quest like chasing the dwarves in the Deep Roads if Nathanial wasn't a Gray Warden?

Speculation is fun.

Maybe recovering the sword of Aveline (the Orlesian knight, not the companion from Dragon Age II)?

That actually works.  Or Garahel's gear.  He was the one to end the last blight.

Maybe it could be racially based? For example, if you are Human, you get a sidequest to find Calenhad's sword ( Nemetos) and silver armor (the one the Circle of Magi made for him), if you are Elven, you get a sidequest to find Garahel's equipment, if you are a Dwarf, you get a sidequest to find the equipment of the Paragon Aeducan, and if your are a Kossith, you get a sidequest to find items that belonged to the Ashkaari Koslun, what do you think about that?

I wouldn't mind a few nods to this stuff, but maybe don't flood the game with them.

Hey, the devs warned us back before DA:O was released that they are capable of resorting to such evil!

I think it was originally about all the questions about Alistair that brought that 'threat" to the forums...

Honestly, though, I think their zombie cat army has enough recruits.

The last time a prominent Qunari got a sidequest to track down an item that belonged to Koslun 50% of Kirkwall burned.

Don't make "Daggers" the size of broadswords, and don't make every weapon sheathed on the back like a damn Fable game, and I'll be happy...

I'd like to be able to get Vigilance back (well, sort of).

Pretty much, the only one who might have survived was the Mage origin, but then they probably got killed in the disaster at the Circle later on anyway.
