...I mean really scare. Like a friend of friend of mine, who played some horror-survival game at night with light turned off in his apartment, and high quality sound turned on... At some point he almost fell down from his chair, then quickly turned on all the light in his apartment, and was afraid to go sleep for an hour or two.

Some very scaring moments... Not just a mob jumping on you from a dark corner screaming like a pig, but a true horror atmosphere.

Fearless heroes with shiny armor disintegrating everything on their way became a bit annoying... One of the reasons I liked ME3 ending - you don't feel like a hero. You faced a force much stronger than anything you could imagine, and you can only follow the paths developed by this force for you, and die in the end. You feel small, weak, and falling apart.

I know that DA series is not a horror survival, but still I believe some very scary scenes (especially closer to the end and in the end) will only make the game much better. Feeling like unstoppable hero is annoying. Feeling dark phantasmagoric atmosphere in some really dark phantasmagoric places is great.

I'm not talking about making the entire DA:I like this. The Fade, the nightmares, some dungeons or crypts could have such specific atmosphere - a contrast to the regular fantasy traveling environment. Something that will make Dragon Age unique among the standard fantasy games.

So, BioWare, can you really scare us?

Dragon Age: Inquisition canceled.  Replaced by DA2 Multiplayer Arena in the most popular level based on our telemetry: The Cave

Did that work? ^_^

(Just for the record in case people see this post out of context, this post is a joke and not serious in any way)

Paragon of Her Kind quest freaked me out a lot. When we were walking down there and Hespith's voice was reciting.. uuhhgg! Shudder!!!!! Anything more than that and I might not be able to play. Yes, I am weak.

Might help if you try a Let's Play ;)

When someone records themselves playing it. Most interesting if audio (and even video) of the player is there to provide commentary, IMO.

A Let's Play is how I worked up the nerve to play "The Dark Descent"
(You can find it here)
