A situation where the player has to choose between the greater good (eg saving many innocents) or the life of their LI.

If they were a proper alignment for it(The moral equivalent of Sarevok perhaps?), I'd say it'd be interesting. I'll vote yes.

How about an overpowered Giant-Ass Sword? And make it glow, and stuff. I need a giant-ass glowy-ass sword-thing. Maybe like this:

No. Too much of that in DA2.
Weapon damage types that matter ie. blunt, slashing, and piercing.

Aveline, and possibly Vivienne, fits the "old, tough and no nonsense" role, but I refuse to call it the "Judge Judy" archetype.
