Marksman

I turn Marksman on when there's a boss on the field that needs smashing, so I'll empty the first clip and then activate Marksman for the quick reload and start shredding. Give it a shot, I think it's a kit that'll grow on you; I only picked it up a few weeks ago and have lots of fun running it.

Yes. Do it.
Here's a build you might try. fixed
Here's why:
Tac Scan 5a Headshot bonus doesn't work.
Rank 4b RoF is a better choice for a generalist build. Go 4a if you want to lulz with the raider, piranha or talon.
Melee Synergy for the extra 30% weapon damage bonus. Look for the occasional mook to finish off with a heavy melee.
Tac Scan 6 a or b? Never quite sure which. The area scan is quite valuable, but most targets die so fast once their scanned that the area effect rarely lasts long.
take it you never play this kit, seeing that it is really power damage that is given.

What for do you use concussive shot?ClydeInTheShell wrote...
Specifically speaking of the Turian Soldier (the better of the Marksman classes, IMO) I usually run 6/6/3/6/5, with the 3 going into Concussive shot and 5 in Fitness.

1. You tend to use heavy guns on the Tsol.
2. Wanting a more spammable power than proxy.
2. Imo, if you want to proxy, you have the volus engineer, and the lol OP GI.

I find it actually synergizes better than PM with the kit. Usually PM in between waves where I think the spawn will be. The rest of the time I'm in MM. CS is occasionally good as an oh **** button or to fire to get a phantom to bubble up then go into MM to finish. CD on CS is just much easier than PM IMHO.Sebastianthorson wrote...

Area scan only shows other enemies for two seconds by default.

I do play him, though not in about a month. Both kalence and narida kit builders say melee (not power) synergy, so I guess I just overlooked the actual text when I specced him in game. And he obviously should have a weapon boost instead of a power boost.

Now that I think of it, I spec'd into CS so I could have a power to detonate teammates' primers. But I can do that with Proximity Mine.
Some of the other reasoning is better (spammable, lower cooldown), but I like the debuff of Proxy Mine, and mooks will either roll or stagger from it which sets up easy shots.
