What would you change in any of the Mass Effect games if you could?

Hell, I only started posting in June or something, and was automatically inducted into this anti-David clique. Kind of hard to avoid, whether I like it or not.

Look. Here's a lovely solution for all of us.

You two go join the 'Anti-David' clique or whatever. Go and talk to them. And then you can go and repeat your pictures and your 'Heroism!' posts as long as you want. And there's plenty of people there doubtless very willing to giggle at you for as long as you desire.

Everybody wins. You get a nice environment to sustain your delusions that you're clever. And I don't have to bother with you anymore.

Is that not what you want? A group of people willing to giggle at you for posting this content?

The more you acknowledge their teasing the more they're going to do it.

They want to BUG you, David. And from the looks of it, they're succeeding.

Well I'd introduce Javik in ME1 and he would be vital to a conventional victory.
He would only be available to renegade players and would kill Liara on Feros.
All squadmates would also have Full EVA suits, because skimpy in space ain't right.
Shepard would also be much less powerful and would not determine the outcome.

I'm not understanding your plan. You said that you'd have Shepard at the center of the battles. As ME3 demonstrated, a lot of the ships in the fleet are weak against the Reapers. Ergo, Shepard is the only proven effective anti-Reaper asset.

Firstly, you shouldn't be nearly so quick to discredit ground warfare as meaningless. It's throwing away a very great advantage against the Reapers.

Secondly, consider the successes at Tuchanka at Rannoch. I'm thinking much more along the lines of expanding such victories.

Honestly, David, they wouldn't do this is you were more sensible and less abrasive with your counter-arguments and posting patterns. You bring it on yourself, sir.

While I do aknowledge the effectiveness of a well planned ground attack, as demonstrated during the missons you mentioned, there is the issue of evidence during the Earth mission. While the ground forces did fight valiently, they were also taking considerable losses at a very quick pace. The other issue is that while the two missons you mentioned were amazing victories, they only succeded in destroying two Reapers, and they destroyed the Reapers under unusual circumstances: the use of a whole fleet and the use of a rare creature. The odds of pulling off victories like this enough time to eliminate all of the Reapers are not favorable, in my honest opinon.

I'd do exactly the opposite -- take out the leisure and replace the fake urgency with real urgency.

A terrible idea for Bioware, IMHO. Bioware's niche is building great worlds, not building great plots.

They should leave that niche

The Reapers are ships without planets to defend and have a nigh-unlimited supply of troops. Large-scale ground warfare is, for all intents and purposes, a fruitless endeavor. I'm surprised ME3 managed to maintain the illusion of effectiveness for so long.

Or they could transcend it and create both. ;)

I thought they managed that transition quite well with ME 1 and Jade Empire.

Well, I'm a senior member of the anti-david clique, with a great deal of loyalty points saved up.

I'll give him the point on ground warfare against reapers, though. If the reapers goal was to just blast the surface into oblivion along with everything on it, yes, ground warfare would be meaningless. The ydon't, they want to harvest organics, and are willing to be patient about it.

This means ground warfare can be successful as a stalling tactic (earth) or if there is an objective that contributes to a larger goal/effect (tuchanka).

Everything else I disagree with, as usual.

On Topic:
Fire the Blue Xenos form a cannon at the Reapers. And it's polt armour should kill all the Reapers.

But when you fire the cannon, say it all pirate like.

You know, Mass Effect really did need more space pirates.

Add that to the list.
