Natasha Little (Sith Warrior Female) - She would be an awesome voice for a female Qunari Inquisitor.

Would like to see Maury Sterling in more things too. Would be a good rogue inquisitor.

Annnnnd that prompted me to embark on some mad wiki-ing to catch up on this guy. I haven't even thought about him since middle school! I loved him.
I have some seriously fond memories of his portrayals of Harlock, Piccolo, and Wolfgang Krauser.
Speaking briefly on Viz anime voice actors - did the fact that Mark Hildreth (Terry Bogard in the Viz Fatal Fury dubs) played Sten blow anyone else's mind?

I think part of the problem with reusing someone like Tim Curry is that you get Tim Curry's voice, and there's a bit of a tripping point in that he's also the voice of Arl Howe.
JMO.
I remember when Nicholas Boulton was revealed to be the voice of male Hawke and some people felt they would be unable to play as him because all they could hear is Vaughan Kendall (understandably). So yeah, I totally get you're coming from.

I just want to put my vote in for hiring actors to speak in their own natural accent (unless they are REALLY good at accents). The Dragon Age games have been pretty good about this overall, but there have been a few exceptions; the one that comes to mind most readily is Marjolaine from DA:O. She was a minor character, but she made me cringe every time she talked. The fact that DA:I is set partially in Orlais has me worried we're going to be dealing with lots of awful fake French accents. Please don't let that happen, Bioware!
Marjolaine was bad, but not in the game very much. Zevran and Leliana with their terrible accents, though, drove me up a wall, and you needed to have at least 1 of them in your party to have a rogue.
Ugh, bad memories.

Also, since you mentioned Orlais was supposed to be like France, what was Antiva supposed to be? I'd guess Russia, based on Zevran's "accent" but I'm not at all confident in that.
I believe Antiva is supposed to be the DA equivalent of Italy (don't quote me on that, though.)
And Zevran's accent--regardless of whether or not it's a 'good' accent--is more Spanish that Russian. How it could ever be mistaken for a Russian accent is beyond me.

Spanish? Really? I used to work with a lot of native Spanish speakers with thick accents, and it doesn't sound Spanish to me at all...
Either way, I think we can agree native English speakers trying to fake accents is probably not the way to go....

Ah, but I didn't say that Zevran's accent was a successful attempt at a Spanish accent.
Perhaps that's how Antivian accents should be described from now on--'like someone trying to speak with a believable Spanish accent.'
In regards to your latter point, I agree. I know a lot of players (myself included) are very quick to use Marjolaine as an example of how faking an accent can come off as cringe-worthy, but it's just too obvious an example to be ignored, even if her part in Origins is small.

The video game voice over pool is becoming rather incestuous. It needs new blood, even Hollywood gets in fresh talent.
