I'm playing the 360 version & I'm currently in the Fade....
For the life of me I cannot get through any of the doors I am supposed to be able to get through in Golem form. What is the deal? Can't be a glitch huh? It keeps telling me that the lock can't be picked or something to that effect. From what I've read it's as easy as hitting "A" in front of the door, and bam, the Golem throws a rock thorugh the door. NOT happening for me. Any help would be appriciated as my patience is wearing thin with this game.

If the door says "This door would require massive force to break", then it is one of the doors you are supposed to smash through in Golem form. It SHOULD be as simple as pressing A right in front of the door, but the targeting can be a bit tricky from time to time. I suggest either moving around the door and pressing the A button a few times to see if it initiates the animation, or moving away from the door enough that the resources load again, move back to the door, and try it again.
You are doing it right, it just sounds like it's being picky.
