Does anyone else hope that if you were one of the few people who killed the Dalish in Origins that the werewolves will once again be mentioned or maybe even seen?

We learn at the end of Origins that for their role in stopping the blight the Werewolves were respected for some time but eventually they began to lose themselves to their primal nature and started attacking human settlements. Then in DA2 we encounter a woman who is looking for ingrediants to create a tonic that can help the Werewolves and even the Lady of the Forest from falling further into savagery. After creating the potion you never hear anything of it again.

This leaves it rather incomplete and unfinished and I'm really hoping in Inquisition we will at least find out what became of them. Were they exterminated? Did the potion enable them to regain control of their hummanity? Are they wild beasts now? Have they perhaps developed their own culture? I must know!

Biowure pls.  I'm concerned for my Darkspawn stomping puppies.

I would think it only fair if they did. I would assume that whole scenario in Origins was a pretty big decision, and for them to simply move on past it completely would make little sense. Especially if this game will have a lot more exploration, it would only seem logical that somewhere you would cross something in all your travels.

there was a cameo in DA2 regarding one of them, at least in my playthrought, but I don't remember what was told in the conversation, my last game was around February...

I mention it in my original post. The Werewolves and the Lady of the Forest are losing their control of their natures and require a potion to save them or slow down the process.

After that you never hear anything of it again. I'm personally hoping that they've developed their own culture within the Brecilian forest and that we hear mention of it in Inquisition.

Even with the Lady keeping them in check, they were pretty savage. I doubt their ability to form a "society," as you put it.

They had a Monarch, a Sanctum in which they lived, and had even began giving themselves names. Some of them had different roles such as the Gate Keeper, they even had emissaries. A culture was budding, however primitive.

Now I dont expect a full-on encounter with the werewovles ingame but I do feel like their story was left on a really weak note. A Codex or maybe an npc encounter with a disgruntled dalish ranger who you can ask about the werewolves would be nice in DAI. Something to give the werewolves a more solid narrative, beyond "they dissappear into the shadows". I like the Culture idea, they were obviously sapient, maybe you could hear tales of a tribe of werewolves in the fereldan mountains? they're so aggressive they might have an almost orc like society

I hope we do..I would even go so far as to have the chance to recruit them into the inquisition. I always long for my army of werewolves to strike fear into my enemies.

Like the Darkspawn under the Architect.

EDIT: Being on tumblr for so long starts to affect how you reply to things.

I did feel a little bad about it, but my canon Warden sided with the werewolves and drove the Dalish off. Because werewolves > elves in my book. Sorry!

Plus it was much more badass watching the cutscene toward the end of the game, with the Lady of the Forest leading her army of werewolves out of Brecilian to help me fight the Archdemon.

I expect it'll end badly.
Players who supported the werewolves may have to help Allistair/Anora clean up the mess in their DAI playthroughs.

They kind of get black furred and spiky, presumably underneath the fur they have a more cadaverous appearance.

Though the question of where the Werewolves went is a pretty good one, I mean these guys had gained a pretty decent size when you lead them and they disappear a few years down the road don't they? So that's' whatever added ones from reproducing and additional people getting the curse from them.

Supposedly they were beginning to lose control, even the lady so I would be surprised if they could stay hidden.

Its the one decision that definitely should end badly, its the only choice throughout DA:O that can't be justified no matter how much you stretch your perception.  At the time you make the decision, the Keeper has sworn to be your ally if you help him, you have to actually convince the werewolves to give up the whole thing they have been planning since the beginning and murder all the elves, not just the one responsible for their affliction with no forseeable benefit to your Warden, its complete metagaming to pretend you could forsee them joining you in place of the Dalish.

This does not mean that there are not roleplaying reasons to kill the elves, if your character is a murderous psychopath, then thats a reason, its just not a justifiable one in a sense of good decision making,  and I have played through the game once as a murderous psychopath and it was very fun at times, but realistically that character should never have succeeded in his mission to end the blight.

lol... don't you think that's a bit self-righteous?  It's actually pretty easy for a human Warden to wind up on bad terms with the Dalish, and to dislike them before even meeting the Keeper (and he's the second Dalish you speak to!).  You don't have to offer to help him during the initial conversation, and later on, when you meet him in the ruins, you can say "I never agreed to help you."  Furthermore, there are numerous opportunities to avoid fighting the werewolves if you have a decent persuasion skill... so you can be at least respectful towards one another long before  meeting the Lady of the Forest.

As for wiping out the Dalish... well, werewolves are a lot more powerful than elves, so...   I'd be more willing to accept "pragmatic" or even "sociopath" to describe it.  "Psychopath" implies taking pleasure in inflicting pain, which is not the only reason to do this.  But based on what you've written so far, I'm probably wasting my time trying to change your mind.

I can see the way that would go. There would be internal conflicts between them. Some supporting The Lady while others wanting to split from the group. If we support The Lady the werewolves would go back into hiding. If we support the spilter group we'll end up with trying to convince the undecided ones in joining and a final battle, after which we get some werewolf troops.

Before the battle, The Inquisitor holds a speech on the top of a rock accompanied by the splinter group leader and 2 of his followers :

" Is this what you want to be? Her entertaiment, her play things ? Her pets ? Cowering beneath the whip and then fighting among yourselves? IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT ? ( dramatic silence moment ) You lived by her rules your entire lives. You protected her, envied her and for what ? ( Inquisitor is looking at the crowd ) To be treated like an animal. YOU ARE NOT ANIMALS ! You do have a choice ! You can be more that this ! You could be slaves... or you can be... WEREWOLVES ! "
Then everything goes berserk .

Don't mind me.Imagination's going wild.
