Agreed. Only way to play Hyrdra on harder difficulties IMO. I float a bit more but it's nice to have someone hold that room where spot isn't spawn on both sides and pinching the team. A grenadier can run that cat walk and inflict major damage though. The room is a loose fallback postion.TMB903 wrote...
I may be labeled as a heathen for this but...I've always found camping the "control room" on Hydra to be fun. 2 people guarding each entrance, two ammo boxes and good soft cover that won't leave you exposed all that much. In my noob days this was the strategy me and my friends used if things looked bad.
Gold escort & NO enemies bothered us (Newbies -- do those objectives!)

When the team is doing a hack and someone leaves, I follow them and try to block their shooting lane, which usually doesn't end well for me because I also blocking shots at him/her.
I rarely participate in devices, why? the 3 others can do it while i kill stuff and up my score to somewhat reach close to that GI.

And the GI will still outscore after doing all the devices by himself.Yo Son wrote...

Drone escort is my favorite objective! It's one of only 2 objectives where everyone is together, and it's not boring like a hack. When everyone runs to the drone and quietly walks it to the target before the enemies know where you are -- it's a thing of beauty. Also, trying to cover surf your way through 4 spawns is exciting.
