Seriously, what the hell?

I hate them so much.

All of their units are just superior to their equivalents in the other factions.

Plus, all their units can get "possessed", and it seems that, at the higher waves, every single unit is "possessed".

They're at least 3x more difficult than the reapers.

How is this fair?

In the Heat of the Night...I loved that show. I'm on PS3 so they don't exist as far as I'm concerned.

1) That is the ****ing point.
2) No, not even half is possessed at time.
3) L2P

Seriously, only 2 irritating thigs about Collectors are buttlazers (can't be avoided) and homing sniper ninja staggerlock from across the map (if you don't play at 360 fov can be unavoidable)
Everything else is just challenge for ya. This game is too easy anyway.

I looked at the stats, praetorians have twice the armor and barrier of a banshee on the same difficulty. As much as I like having the collectors back, I don't understand why BW made them so powerful.

That. Is. THE POINT.

They're designed to be the hardest faction.

On a more mature note, they are a pain in the behind, you just have to tread and aim carefully when dealing with those critters.

Collectors are inconsistent. They punish power users way too much, while favoring guns that are already superior. They give less XP for harder games, so there's NO POINT for newbies to play vs them.

Possesion (with no drawbacks), seekers, insane Scion damage and grenade bouquets + asslaz0rs and Praetorian bubble triggered on EVERYTHING are just icing on a BS cake.

Which is BS cos they give the same money and less XP. They can be the hardest, but pay me double then.

Possession costs wave budget points, iirc.

Despite all the freeze issues on PS3 I will love the Collectors forever. This is because they made it possible for me to nuke extraction 3 times with Possessed A-bomb-inations in about 35-ish seconds. It NEVER gets old.

Not according to Cyonan's spreadsheet, unless I missed a column or something.

I hate them and love them in equal measure. I always seem to struggle more against collectors, especially when I use power spammers, then other factions. But if collectors weren't in the game, it would have been a lot more boring... I like the challenge they pose.

They are also 10X as wide and twice as tall.  Landing shots on it is not that hard.

And their head is just impossible to miss.

Its just stupid that one faction is more difficult than the others... that's the point of having four different levels of difficulty. The thing about the geth, reapers, and cerberus is that they present different challenges. I like the concept of the collectors, (seeker swarms canceling out powers, how fast they close in on you, etc. etc...) but scions are just silly. I don't know what their points value is compared to the other factions' armored units, but brutes are just a joke compared to them, as are dragoons and geth pyros.

They punish you for playing with randoms more than any other factions. Lots of splash damage factors, throw more ****ing nades than all the other factions combined and that's not even considering the cluster nades of the Possessed Scions. You can bet your ass if you're on a device a nade will be thrown on top of you.

And yet they usually end up being slower than the other factions to complete anyway.

Although Collectors are one of the easier factions on Platinum mostly due to having less Captains and Scions than Collectors Gold.

Which is actually just another advantage, cos they can block doorways a good as an Atlas, plus his sync-kills are instant. Not to mention they are silent and 5x faster. And of course they can randomy insta-down you trough a wall with buttlz0rs halfway across the map, because he was shooting somewhere at a teammate.

I agree they should be worth the most XP since they're the elite faction. Not impossible if you're team doesn't group together though.

He needs to melee first and he doesn't teleport right next to you.

Not remotely as bad as Banshee.

They cost 5 points more in budget than Brutes or Dragoons.  But since Collectors have the lowest amount of unique units (only 5) they can spam them more in more waves.

collectors do seem to be the anti-newblet faction, making puging against them particularly frustrating. with competent players they provide a nice challenge with less cheating than the geth.

Plus Praetorians have a 2x headshot multiplier compared to all other bosses' 1.4x multiplier.

This. Especially true for vanguards. Dat seeker swarms of doom jumping at you from nowhere...

They also have much more armor than brutes. Like 1,5 times more. So much for brute being a dedicated melee speciapist w/o ranged attack...
