Fighting collectors requires a bit more spatial awareness than other factions, but that's all there is to it. Collectors are tough, but they're also fair and predictable, and there are countless ways to counter anything they can throw at you, whether you focus on weapons or powers.
Killing abombs reliably without the boom is easy with most kits and weapons when you learn to headshot reliably.
Asguard is great against collectors. Charge, dodge, shoot, grenade, repeat.

With the exception of Praetorian sync-kills through walls I'd say they are pretty fair and enjoyable.

There will always only be 3 on the map. If you kill one, you have no idea which captain will spawn another one. If you keep them alive, you have an idea were they will be and where to avoid being. Seeker swarm speed isn't fast so you can easily out run them plus, like swarmers, they tend to die off during the wave interval. Also seeker swarms cost so little of the wave budget that its a waste of time to kill them
Personally i like how collectors show that depending purely on powers with weak weapons isn't the best idea especially those still stuck on the 200% CD notion.

I do UUG all the time. UUG = collectors can show up. Lets see, should i tailor my loadout for all 4 factions or should i tailor it for 3?
Btw i'm in my "play engineers" phase now so if you're saying engineers are purely weapon based, please tell me so i can be entertained
