 What do you think?
Storyline post-DA3 being a fresh start? Or Inquisition living more doubts than answers?

What they've said basically amounts to that we'll get to know what's going on with them. They have some non-specific involvement in Inquisition, which may not even involve them appearing.

I've been wondering with the Keep if we won't be able to design the Warden and Hawke for an appearance, sort of like how when I imported ME into ME2, I was given the option of changing my face and class (take that, Cerberus). That would appeal to me, and be compromise for everyone. You'd get to see them, but Bioware wouldn't have to override your physical canon.

Although...how they would talk and interact with you is another matter.  To that end, I suspect they'll send you letters, or an emisarry to act on their behlf, like Anora (if queen and married to Cousland), Alistair, and Seneshal Varel.

I'm betting they both went into the Fade.

I hope hawke does show up. I heard in the book canon hawke is a mage and sided with the mages. We might end up fighting him.

thats only for the vanilla canon if players don't import a save and just do the default history. David Gaider said when he wrote Asunder he avoided mentioning Hawke because he didn't want to impose on players' head canon

Hmm. My female Warden could meet my male Hawke, they could make like rabbits and raise unstoppable super babies.

Then their daughter could fall in love with Morrigan's OGB, and they could have a demigod kid.

I think Bioware should just kill off past protagonists, to prevent this question from coming up.

Or just not mention their current activities at all which would be more logical.

Or do my idea where you hear that they're getting drunk together in some tavern.

Please no, would completely ruin playing the games with the knowledge that once the protaganist steps off stage left at the end they will trip over their laces and break their neck.

I personally don't want them to appear but i do want them and what they are up to, to be referenced by ambient dialogue & companion conversations(varric etc).

That's kind of what I want, unless the Keep does what I hope it will and let you customize them for a physical appearance.  If they survived past games, they should at least get a mention, even in gossip or codex entries.  These are important characters and killing them offscreen would be a letdown.

However, I think the Inquisitor is important enough to meet with the ruler of Ferelden, the Warden Commander, or an emissary of theirs.

Pretty much. For me, the replay value of the past games would be gone if they killed them off screen.

I'm in a strange position where I think they HAVE to do something but am not sure if I WANT them to do anything. :S

Every hero and companion is important. But taking that to mean they need to meet one another is an insufferable burden. How do you even handle that going forward? Will the next hero need to meet the Inquisitor, the Warden, and the Champion then?

It's baggage.

I agree it could get bogged down, but a codex entry would be nice.  I'm not expecting more than Leliana to show up long enough to continue whatever it was she was doing in 2, and for Varric to tell, "And then let me tell you what trouble she got us into," stories.  But speculation is fun.

If my hawk or warden appear in the game and act differently, then there would be no point of choosing their dialogue and actions in previous games. At least let my inquisitor murder knife them if they show up

They combined their forces/monies and opened a small florist shop in Orlais. They are debating on getting an espresso machine. Hawke thinks it will draw in the lazy/poor Uni crowd but the Warden thinks it will draw in the Orlais housewives who have more money than sense. If this works out they will invest in a collection of small naughty Dwarven statues that people can put in their gardens to discourage ghast infestations.

I don't want to see my Warden or Hawke. They disappeared, and they're up to something. Or my Warden decided it was time to die/be a hermit/look for griffons. What I'm curious about is if... regardless if Alistair is king or not... he disappears WITH a romanced Warden. I just don't see him being one to let her disappear alone. Even if she didn't tell him :P

Minimum I want is the answer to the cliffhanger of DA2.

But I guess that Bioware will give no answer to not disapointed the half of community want their no apparence or the other half which want their reapparance.

For my point of view, I will very disapointed if Bioware will not answer of the cliffhanger of DA2, no explanation what do my Warden the the entire world in in danger. But because Bioware don't speak about the both hero for the moment I have at least hope to reapparance.

Similar here, and for the record, that unsure-ness is the fear of Bioware violating your head canon if they DO decide to do something with the Warden and Hawke on screen.

Let's face it, if both appear, someone, somewhere, will find their head canon to be completely thrown to the wayside.
