This is definitely an advanced question. Hopefully someone is doing the same thing as me and has encountered this problem already.
1. I created a new base type, pretty much a new type of armor category.
2. I can see the new base type and item variations just fine in the toolset when creating a new item.
3. So I create the new items and export them.
4. In game I can see my new chest piece just fine. I can see my new boots just fine.
BUT THE GLOVES ARE ALWAYS INVISIBLE. I can't see them.
Usually if you see your new item visibly in the toolset it means you can see it in the game but this is not the case.
............. I'm stumped. I can't see the new glove armor. I've triple checked everything. Once you see the item in the toolset you should be able to see it in the game!!
New base type, I see my new item in the toolset but not in game! Literally.

this kind of problem usually arises when you forget to export something. The toolset works with just the saved files, but the game needs the exported stuff. Could explain why it is ok in the toolset, and not in game. Either your material, item or whatever is not being exported. Just my 2 cents anyway. Can't think of any thing else.

Which IDs did you use when you added your items to the .gda tables?

EDIT: I had the browser open and didn't refresh. I just read your post but had solved hte problem before you posted... !!!!! LOL

Well I finally figured out the problem.
When you create a new xxxx_variation.gda ... The int field range is 1-255 ..
My int fields were 290,291,292
The int tag for the field is a LIE.
Make sure your range is 1-255

This is a pretty ugly bug, and using an ID in the 0-255 range is definitely not an option.
If someone else releases a mod and happens to use the same ID as you, your addons will clash and override each other.
