You would think after 2 dozen playthroughs I would get the hang of Mass Effect 1. You would be wrong.

I am playing through as a Soldier, but I am using both Kaidan and Liara as squadmates. One thing I am noticing is that despite Master Lift having a 6m radius, it will only lift one enemy at time unless I use it on the floor, which is not always possible.

So is this expected? I know that Master Lift will allow you to lift a Colossus, so does the radius of Lift only allow you lift a target that fits inside the given radius? I have had enemies standing almost right next to each other, but only the enemy I targeted for Lift will be lifted. While not too annoying against mercs, it was a little frustrating against Rachni.

I do not recall ever seeing this before, but I suppose that is not too surprising considering how I typically play the game. (Typically I just activate my defensive power and shoot, and only use powers occasionally).

I seem to recall a thread discussing this as a bug(please note it may have been on the old boards). I don't remember anything about a fix having ever been put in place.  I also seem to recall that the only way around it was indeed to aim at the floor.  It was easier to aim at the floor by turning the aim assist all the way  down.

I find this to be the case as well, and it's the reason I use Singularity far more than Lift. I rarely remember to aim at the floor during battle, so I mostly just use Lift on single elite targets (Colossi, Juggernauts, Warlords, Saren, etc).
