Sandal is a fantastic character with a lot of secrets to discover.

Lulz..

If people like Sandal, fine, but let's not pretend he's anything other than a running gag. As far as the treatment of the mentally disabled goes in media generally, Sandal is neither a well-written nor sensitive example.

I agree with Plantiff? What is this magic?

As far as I'm concerned, any Dragon Age: Origins character that appeared in Dragon Age 2 should be in time out. They need to think about what they've done. Just showing up a continent away for no reason at all. It was Hawke's and Kirkwall's story, but they just rudely butted in. It's like going to your younger child's school play only for your elder child to barge up on stage and start singing and dancing.

And they want to do it again? No. They are going to their room without dessert.

Not a valid excuse.  You are pronounced guilty.

I'm fine with Sandal and Bodhan returning, though I'd like Wade and Herren to return as my blacksmith/armour seller.

I don't love Sandal either, but it never occurred to me to make an entire thread about how I don't love Sandal.

Sandal would kick the inquisitors ass with one finger. I'd love to see that option in the game. Try to murder knife him and have the game just take you to the reload screen.

He may have started as a gag but like alot of characters in books or games that become popular they grow into something else as evidecned by the whole prophecy thing in DA2.  The term 'mentally disabled' is very broad and far reaching.  Since there is no formula for a mentally disabled person I think your quite wrong in saying he is not well written or not sensitive.

Sandal will most likely be in the game since he was granted an audience with Emperess Celene, also if you didn't notice he's been evolving in the games in terms of intelligence and power.

As for an murder knife option it will most likely result in your death.

That would've been hilarious to see, with the inquisitor trying to kill him, we see Sandal's smiling face and then 'Game Over'.

I have nothing with Sandal, actually he and Bodahn are adorable dwarves and I enjoy them on my playthroughs. And I'm sure we will see them again, someone said something about Sandal having to meet Empress Celene.

*slaps the whole lot of you*

Sandal is a fantastic character with a lot of secrets to discover. Honestly the very idea of an "Autistic Savant" who turns up completely unharmed surrounded by dead badguys ALWAYS makes me smile. On top of which, durring his years with Hawke he comes out of his shell and talks a lot more. And if you poke him enough, he gives a prophecy.

The idea that Sandal having been in a safe, semi-permanent environment for a number of years helped him to come out of his shell and trust anyone other then Bohdan was really spectacular to see.

But then, this is coming from a mother of an Autistic child. So every time I see someone saying they want to murder knife him, It makes me want to murder knife them.

*Holds up murder knife, stands protectively in front of Sandal* Come at me bro.

*slaps murder knife away*  Careful, you'll hurt yourself=]

And I can't speak for anyone, but I do dislike him for always freaking saying !enchantment! and always speaking in riddles.  He confuses me and annoys me. That's it.  Nothing more.
