If people like Sandal, fine, but let's not pretend he's anything other than a running gag. As far as the treatment of the mentally disabled goes in media generally, Sandal is neither a well-written nor sensitive example.

Here's a helpful hint to avoid too much Sandal-don't initiate conversations with him. That easy. And he had a total of maybe(at most) 10 minutes of convo in DA2- how is that character being shoved down your throat.

I'm hoping that Sandal does turn out to be the first dwarven mage.

As comic relief, "Enchantment" got old pretty quickly, if it was ever funny at all, but his prophecies and his ability to level hordes all by his lonesome are intriguing.

But if he does come back, I'd like Bodahn to come back, too. Sandal can protect himself, but keeping himself fed and clothed is another story.

And I don't care what anybody says, we need to see Wade and Herren again.

That image is creepy and he's done quite a bit by himself that makes me hesitant to fight him since he was found in the deep roads by Bohan surrounded by dead darkspawn.

He was found right before you fought the Archdemon surrounded by dead darkspawn, found in the deep roads with more darkspawn and a frozen ORGE and in the final quest he appears in the gallows with his father's chest surrounded by dead Mages, dead Templars,demons including a PRIDE DEMON that he froze.

Sandal didn't bother me in DAO/DA2, but I think there's not that much new the writers can do with him without being ridiculous.

I for one got tired of Sandal after the first five minutes of having him in my camp in Origins. I groaned when I saw him in ][ and then I heaved a heavy sigh when I figured he'd probably be in the next game. I don't care for him as a running gag and I can't see him being turned into anything of consequence without a lot of hand waving and obvious absurdity. I don't want to murder-knife him by any means, I'm just tired of the same-old. I'd rather enchant my own gear any way...

Sandal is definitely the missing link in the dwarven world. I miss Wade and his Diva rants. Steel ooh what are we cavemen lol.. Also I love to see Owan he was by far the only tranquil I liked

Here's what I think: the OP's Inquisitor should be extremely worried about what Sandal might do to him if he ever tries to murderknife Sandal. We all know what happened at Fort Drakon.
