I don't like that both biotic drell have these in their kit.


Jellyfish without Drell using Cluster Greandes are horrible.

This is what I see in response each time.  I just have to flawlessly charge them  (in games where lag exists) and in games where other opponents might be close by to shoot my rump off as i fight my target.  Stagger them is a given and then use nades (a renewable resource).

Instead of stasis, then charge or not charge if you desire or have an team mates charge or shoot or toss a nade ro charge the stasis bubble causing a BE.

I can see this being a preferred play style of a very very good player who is in effect soloing, other wise stasis is way more effficient in my mind that a task that is a two or three stepper.  In any case we have had this discussion many times in the past there will be no changing minds of the people who prefer no or limited stasis vs the ones that endorse its full use.



I hear what you're saying, and personally I like both characters alot, but the DV is clearly the superior killer in this game ... his %90 power damage bonus after he charges applies to all 3 fragments. When you develop some practise with them, you can either bounce all 3 off a boss enemy unit for massive damage, or throw then in a spread formation into a group of mooks to stun/kill them all .. this just takes a little practise .. considering how much game experience i'm sure you have  .. you should give him a closer look ...

I really like the AV alot also, and because she has better base shield, she can make good use of Cyclonics, making her much more forgiving to play. But it does take her longer to deal with boss units (which, of course, are prevalent at Gold +)

As far as off host Vanguarding goes, I think many on BSN make too big a deal out of it ... you may get downed anywhere from 0-2 per match because of, but that is hardly a deal breaker


I agree with pretty much everything you say.  I just find that in a comparison between the two the Asari though a bit less in the damage dept has more utility vs a variery of opponents.

I also agree on your point about off host charge not being that big of a deal.  I just bring that out because people talk about the charge/stagger/nade strat as being fool proof.  My observations on the builds come as much watching other players use than as me using them.

This does happen sometimes, yes, but not often enough that it makes me not want to use a grenadier vanguard kit .. like I said, about 0-2 extra downs a match from off host vanguarding ...

For myself, I find, on console, while vanguarding on host, I can hit an enemy currently highlighted automatically, but off host I need my aimer to also be directly on my intended target, as well as highlighted .. ie. vanguarding off-host requires accuracy to activate ... air grenades can be a pain, yes

Asari all the way, much easier to survive every scenario. And easy to kill in all scenarios.

DV is all about the nades, and despite being able to solo easily with the DA and using cluster nades easily, when using the DV I spend a lot more time checking the floor for sturdiness, and throwing grenades that bounce nowhere near enemies or if I'm lucky 1 might hit.

quickly refresh my memory, damage stated on cluster nades is per fragment of cluster? initially 2 fragments per cluster? evo 6 makes 3 fragments per cluster?

evo 5's 100% damage increase is only 100% base damage? and does it apply per fragment?

 Yes. Yes. Yes.  No, it doubles the damage of one of the fragments, and only applies to a target procc'ed biotically.  See last sentence.

True, but I would have thought you of all people would appreciate the better security the asari gets from having better shields and being able to stasis phantoms.:whistle:
