combo damage

You get max combo damage by rank 4. It's the debuff that is good on 5 and 6 ranks.


Combo damage is calculated based on the rank of each power.  Warp 4 + Throw 6 for instance produces a less powerful explosion than Warp 6 + Throw 6.  I don't have the numbers but big boom better.

Now that you say it, I remember. Yep, that's correct.

Warp,Shockwave, Reave, Cluster Grenades, Smash, Annihilation Field, Dark Channel, Throw, Shield Boost, Barrier, Frag Grenade, Inferno Grenade, Marksman, Bloodlust, Flamer, Stimulant Pack, Hunter Mode, Arc Grenade, Recon Mine, Lift Grenade, and Snap Freeze are all maxed on every kit that has those powers.

Biotic Sphere, Dark Sphere, Seeker Swarm, Ballistic Blades, Devastator Mode, Multi-Frag Grenade, Havoc Strike, Siege Pulse, Cain Trip Mine, Armor-Piercing Arrows, Biotic Hammer, Shadow Strike, Phase Disruptor, Biotic Slash, Nightshade Blades, and Biotic Focus are all maxed on the one kit that has these powers.

It might seem funny that Adrenaline Rush, Tech Armor, Tactical Cloak. and Biotic Charge aren't on the list, but I have a few kits that either short change or even skip these powers entirely for variety.

Warp and Reave are the only two powers where I would never contemplate doing anything other than maxing them though.

Well, Marksman is the first that comes to mind, followed by Warp.

Possibly better question... 'What powers do you never max out?'

I can't think of anything beyond Pull... and maybe Blade Armor? I'll need to check my BatGuard.

Also some powers that only show up on 1 character (Cabal, Prolector, etc)

True. But maybe some people don't have respec cards and they tend to use the same build for both snipers and other guns.

Regardless of the BSN collective wisdom I always max fitness.  If that means dropping another power, then that's the way I roll.  

The only other power I always max out is Biotic Charge.

Do you realize you are taking grenades that could really benefit your teammates, all for some level 4 homing grenades?


Not my problem... Besides, that's the risk of running multiple grenade classes in the same match, or having a kit that sucks without oodles of grenades.

Warp, Incendiary Grenades, Ballistic Blades, Flamer, Cluster Grenades, Annihilation Field. Small list. In all other cases, I've done four or five before at least to try out a build for a while.

Usually at least five in Fitness, too, like hostaman. Because lag.

I like strong combos and detonations of any kind (well, who doesn´t), so depending on the character I max out at least one of the powers that prime/explode, on most kits that can do their own combos I usually max both. Regardless of that, I probably have always taken 6 evos of Biotic Charge, Warp, Reave, Ballistic Blades, Annihilation Field and Cluster Grenades.

I still promote often. So I don't max many powers.

However, one power that I find almost necessary to have maxed out is Annihilation Field.
