Heh but no I hope even if you let him live he dose not show up. There is a point where if you have EVERY character that crossed your path come back. That the world starts feeling mighty small..

Grr, I've never been able to trigger the random encounter with him if you release him from Redcliffe, since on xbox, apparently, it's bugged? Drove me bonkers. And things seem really unresolved because of it. Not really that big a deal I suppose, but I hated it during my circle mage playthrough.

I have a theory that if you sent him to the circle he'll show up as a tranquil, and if you set him loose, he'll show up as an abomination.

If he's alive I imagine he's either with the Circle rebels or in Aeonar. I recently had him go into the Fade for Connor for the first time, and it just made me wish even more that he had been a companion. The lack of resolution for him is sad.

I doubt he's big enough to be considered, but he's one of the characters I'd love to see.

Especially because he's one of the Origin characters that comes up the most during the story.

I would like to see him in aeonar. Even if you released him word will spread that an apostate been helping people. Plus if he's been sent back to the circle they can still transfer him to aeonar.

Its a shame that dagna gets an epilogue and yet a minor NPC that contributed to the story doesnt

Since Inquisition is set during the Mage/Templar war, going to Aeonar might actually be a possibilty. Maybe we'll see Liliy again (and help her escape and then she can be a companion).

As for Jowan, the less said the better. I sent him to the circle, and I've been pretending that he's okay ever since.

Hmm they never really stated what happens to him so I think he's still alive if you sent him back to the circle though he could be a tranquil mage or one of the rebel Mages if you let him go.

I hope not, I never liked the little whiner, I killed in in everyone of my playthroughs. Honestly, I'm kind of annoyed you couldn't just run off to Gregore during the mage origin and tattle on him straight up instead of going through with Irving's plan.

There is someone in D2 that looks just like Jowan and the first time I ran into him I was WTH!?!?!?! XD Even sounded like him....I still wonder if it really was him pretending to be someone else.

I really wanted to see Aeonar since my first playthrough. It's the best time to visit it, like you say.

My Surana Warden let him go in Redcliffe, and he guarded refugees against darkspawn as Master Levyn. Maybe he's living in Amaranthine now.

I'm normally against cameos, but Jowan is the one guy I'd like to see again. It's probably well past decided though, but we can hope.

I have heard that if you send him back to the tower and side with the mages, he appears in their march, and if you let him run, he's supposed to appear as a random encounter helping refugees, but it Conrads.
