Do you agree with the above statement or not? Was ME 3 bad as a whole or just the awful matter in which it ended? IMHO opinion ME 3 felt too much like a FPS at times with all the previous RPG charm of the prior games almost completely stripped away. Certainly having a very limited dialogue wheel is one the many things that ultimately hamper the replayability factor.

No, in fact, I liked ME3 more than ME2. With all of it's problems. (I like ME2, just an FYI)

No, ME3 had a lot of shining moments. It was the ending that made me upset.

That's not to say ME2 didn't have it's faults. The awful way the VS was treated, and a lack of banter between squadmates (I do understand the lack of logistics, but seriously, a sprinkle here and there)

you forgot that there was barely a plot, Shepard dies (you have no idea how stupid it is) and is FORCED to work with Cerberus.

ME2 was continuously good with an amazing ending. ME3 was good throughout as well, but had several amazing moments. Playing with EC on my first playthrough, I'd say the ending stooped a bit low in contrast to the rest of the game, but it still made me sad, so I'd say it still did good job.

I love ME2, but I love ME3 a bit more.

No. Id say ME2 was my fave, 9/10 (although thats only cos I could mod it easily) but ME3 was still good 7/10. If it died at all, it died when the starchild appeared.

Nope, ME3 was a really fun game that I've replayed over and over and over again, just like ME2. I was satisfied with the EC and I never had the rage because I held off getting ME3 until it was complete. Do I want more of an epilogue? Sure, I love the universe and the characters but I was satisfied with how it ended.

I'd say that ME2 maimed the series, if not killed it outright. ME3 was an improvement in just about every narrative element. Not that there was much to improve off of.

For all the stuff I love about ME2, I enjoy replaying ME3 more. The DLC's are a pretty big factor, though. There are some things about ME2 that don't hold up well to replaying, like its intro. Shepard's death puts a hamper on the game.

You could say the lack of banter would be since apart from Garrus/Tali or Miranda/Jacob, no-one really knew eachother well enough.

ME3 is pretty good about banter. Too bad the reaper threat puts a bit of a downer on things.

As it turns out no plot is better than a plot.
Who would have thought sh*ts and giggles makes a better game.

OP: How can a game feel like an FPS when it is in third person? Also, ME2 was more shooter than 3 ever became. I like 2 more also, but I'm not going to pretend that it was God's gift to the universe.

No, I really enjoyed Mass Effect 3 just as much as I enjoyed 2 and just as much as I enjoyed 1. Sure it has its shortcomings. When I first played the game and got to the end, sitting there with Anderson looking at Earth I felt like the road was over and I had accomplished something. It was a feeling of accomplishment. What I did matter, whether I died or not to see tomorrow the sacrifices made wouldn't be in vain. So yeah I think all the games are good equally with their shortcomings and what not.

While there wasn't much banter in ME2, was there REALLY that much more in ME1? Outside of the citadel elevator conversations, I don't think the ME1 crew interacted either....

ME3 easily trumps both games combined for squad banter. The ME1 and 2 crew never moved from their spots.

I find replaying ME2 is a chore until Horizon. I HATE re-doing Mordin's and Garrus' recruitment missions. It just feels like the handcuffs get removed and I can do what I want at that point. For ME3, the 'annoying' part for me is all the Citadel errands you get in the first act. Because of my gamer OCD I can't ignore them (Jondom Bau, Aria's merc errands, etc) but I'm always relieved when they are done. I like to get Omega out of the way before finishing Tuchanka. After the genophage is resolved one way or the other, I feel relieved as well.

ME2 and "RPG charm" don't even belong in the same sentence. It is the most lacking in that department, by far.

I don't like Mordin's mission all that much but the Space Batman recruitment was the bomb diggity. Talking to the merc leaders right before backstabbing them was pretty awesome.
