It was great to have the player be the source of colour in the game for once.

Exactly, Sarcastic Hawke was the first Bioware protagonist I liked as a character, not just as an Avatar. Being sarcastic all the time also made their serious moments all the more impactful.

I know a lot of people didn't like the tone system in DA:II, but I'm glad they experimented with it, it was a intersting way to give the avatar more personality. I do hope quizzy will have at least a few snarky options as good as Hawke's.

Lots of times Sarcastic Hawke was just an insensitive douche or making okes that only he was laughing at, but that's what make the character so poignant to me.

I loved Sarcastic/Silly Hawke so much because he reacted to situations in ways that I would - I only hope Inquisition has some options that I can relate to as strongly.

Yeah, Varric and the sarcastic option are kinda the only two good things about DAII...

I'm definitely a fan of sarcasm, or just being a blunt smart ass. But I just didn't care for "Sarcastic" Hawke at the best of times in DA: 2. I simply was put off, and sometimes just a little disturbed by what he would say. I'm all for the sarcastic behavior returning, but I want something with more taste.

I think they'll alienate over 80% of BSN posters - if they don't have a regular sarcastic option.
So don't worry  Kitten.

Hmmm...I never really used a sarcastic/clever Hawke. It always seemed like in the guides the top or bottom options were best for friendship/rivalry gain. I tend to be a bit obsessive over maxing out those early on. I may consider doing another go though, it could be fun.

I know I probably won't ever do an aggressive Hawke though, it just doesn't fit me at all.

Sarcasm has its place. Many times sarcastic Hawke came out as douche.

I adored diplomatic Hawke, but most people found her boring and white-bread. Such is life.

I approve of the Snarquisition.
As a policy, you should be able to order your soldiers to be snarky all the time.

With the Viscount especially. That was uncalled for.

There'd better be a sarcasm tone. It's the only one I use in DA2.

I just love when Hawke laughs at their own jokes and everyone else just facepalms.

This, basically. The problem with a constant 'humor dialoge' button, is that there are times when a joke isn't called for. Or it falls completely flat due to the situation.
Makes the main character seem like a douche sometimes. I was a fan of goodhearted Hawke, so maybe my place isn't in the thread in the first place.
Really all I can do is hope they make them more tasteful, the jokes, then I'll play a sarcastic playthrough... With some goodhearted mixed in.
