Well op there are some changes in DAI.

We have a bigger world to explore so that should be interesting.
They are using a new engine so the graphics look better and they can do a lot more now.
We have no level scaling so that should improve the combat and give us a good reason to fight.
We have hover over text for combat sequences so we should not kill someone by mistake.
We have race selections so that will make the game replayable plus a new race for qunari.
The story looks interesting so far.

All the above looks ok in my book.

The only downside so far is we have seen a few companions and NPC’s that we know and i am interested in new companions and new NPC’s but we will wait and see.
The other problems that we are waiting to hear are how will they do the dialogue so we know what our character will say before selection and how they will improve the elf graphics so they are better than in DA2.

I'll partly go with what Maria Caliban said: It's habit. I've been here since we were waiting for BG Thone of Bhaal. I somehow survived the original NWN OC. That otherwise blew every fuse of nerd-rage I had, so it's not like DA2 & ME2+ME3 is a new experience.

If DA2 had been a success (instead of a carefully managed disaster) I would not have been here today, and Bioware would have been totally dead for me. They could keep churning out DA2-like crap forever and I wouldn't ever care.

But it was a dead end and I believe in giving them a fair chance of redeeming themselves.
And what I've seen of DA:I sofar looks brilliant. It's probably not the kind of DA game that I would like to have (but not even DA:O was that). It's probably not the kind of successor to DA:O I would like, just like DA:O wasn't the kind of successor to BG I would have liked.  - But it looks dam awesome in its own right! It's a new game, waiting to be discovered and enjoyed for its own sake, not for the sake of DA or DA:O.

Because I liked both DAO and DA2. Odds are I will like DAI as well.

Same. People who rail against DA2 are so ... I just wonder what they hope to accomplish. Confused why we should care about their feelings regarding DAI. So you're very delicate and DA2 "ruined" the franchise for you. Well so don't buy DAI. Bye.

They probally hope to show Bioware to stop making awful games.......why would their negatie opinions count any less then your positive ones? Just because you'll eat up anything Bioware slops together doesn't mean everyone will. If you like the game, good, play it. If I don't like the game, I think as a long time Bioware fan, or just consumer in general I get to voice my opinion.

Because the DA dev team has shown more skill and competence then the MA team has, and their writing team doesn't have people like Casey Hudson involved screwing everything up... Or at least I hope not.

These reasons are definitely why I'm seriously considering preordering DAI. (Especially the playable Qunari part.) I usually never buy a game until after I hear a few positive reviews about it, but this looks promising. Bioware might actually be learning from their mistakes.
Here's to hope, am I right? ^_^

I think my unhealthy obsession with Morrigan has something to do with it.

Yes DA2 wasn't as good as Origins. But tbh every single change or addition they've put in DA:I I was either hoping for, or really like. Want examples?

Hoping: races, more open map, more interactivity with the environment, the ability to jump, or roll something like that (got roll)

Surprises: Dragon Age Keep, managing keeps you conquer and the organization, that the story is more about this calamity of the Fade being teared open rather than just the mage/templar war.
