Horn style for qunari.

I loved ketojans cut off and tied horns and I'd like that option for mage qunari (or non mages to show they're a tal-vashoth)

also in general, some small bits of jewlery. Obviously nothing that'd get in the way of the fight, but a small earring like varric and anders had would be nice.

Better mouth customization at the very least, but would like something close to SR4 for everything.
Height, weight.
More light in the CC.
Jewelry for both genders.

Me too.  I loved the mirror.  I have also been known to build a character, see what she or he actually looks like in the game, and started over.    More than once or twice.  Each game I've played seems to get a little better with the creation, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hair styles, pig tails would be nice.  More color choices, makeup types.  I'd have a gothic mage that reminds me of Abby in NCIS and one with very little makeup one.  Freckles are great, some that are lightly across the nose and some all over.  Skin tones, of course, and I like the slider sims has for their character creation.  I've had fairly good luck with Skyrim also.  Option for a clean face or one with some dirt on it,    Some scars, ranging from a small one that looks like an accidental nick to the ones that look like you have been fighting and if your scars are that bad, the other guy must be dead.

I want some really nice looking features as well as some that are down right evil looking and a slider would help with that a lot.    Height would be nice, but unexpected and I don't really need that to enjoy the character.

Not so much in the character customization, but I'd also like a few nice looking mage robes that are just for males or females (I know won't happen).  Someone did a great Skyrim mod that is based on Arwen's dress.  And I do like the mage robes from skyrim that are a bit shorter and have boots so it looks like they might have slacks or tights on under the robes, easier to run in than long robes, I would think.

Yes, the game is most important, but for me, the character creation is also important since I'm going to be putting a part of myself into this character.

I would like long hair for men ... also, hair that flows and moves. See the ponytails of Dragon's Dogma

And a muscle slider since we likely won't get a body slider. I would like my character to be lithe but not musclebound.

A variety of hairstyles.
Since DAI isn't going to have a modkit(or have any plans to release any), I would love different types of hair.
I would love long hair or a long ponytail at least. I already love the Fem!Dwarf Braid and hopefully it's available to all races.

Also, I hope they don't lock out certain hairstyles to NPCs. When I played a custom FemHawke, I couldn't use Default FemHawke's hair(or modify her face) or use Morrigan's hairstyle w/out mods.

Definitely chest hair. Clearly it can be done (see Varric), just want it as an option for our Inquisitor. Probably unlikely we can get an armor toggle a la the helmet toggle?

Agreed on Qunari horn styles.

Hair would be nice, they should take a look at the hair from the "More Hair Styles" mod to get some ideas. Also scars would be nice as well.

You would think they could and would do this, I've seen and used some very nice mods with curly hair and much nicer vanilla hair, so it's possible, They just need to include it in all the game systems.

KOTOR - my ponytail moved.  I'd switch just so I could watch it since back then I'd never seen hair move before.

And of course we need mustaches. Seriously, the lack of decent mustaches so far (in DAO especially) has been bloody shameful. For shame Bioware, for shame.

I'm guessing the issue with longer hairstyles is that they would need to blow about in the wind, etc. Maybe that gets tricky? Still, with a year left in dev, you would think this would be doable....
