So i don't know if they has been bought up already in the forums, but can we like recruit people into the Inquisition,

like other people or companion become a Inquisitor, instead of just working for us. Kind of like Kotor 2, went they either became sith or jedi or Dragon Age awakening when people became a warden. Just a way to rebuild the inquisitors, instead of it just been one person as the only inquisitor in an hundred year.

Any thoughts? :D

What's the difference between working for the head of the Inquisition and being in the Inquisition?

I like it.

@Taleroth, it's not very different, just making it official.

Well working for them, seen like they won't be able to speak out of term with the inquisitor and actually been one, they can have a say in the way things are going. Like Ashely/Kaiden when they get their promotion and how they address Shepard after that.

We heard lines like "Your Eminence" at PAX (I think), so, yeah, I'm cool with hearing nothing but titles.

I was talking more about recruiting other inquisitors.

I would also like the possibility of having unnoficial agents (maybe Varric).

One thing I thought watching the PAX videos is I would like the choice to make the Inquisition more or less formal depending on the PC and more or less milistaristic. Being able to run a network of spies instead of an army, that sort of thing.

You mean people who aren't in your party? I doubt the majority of them get names beside faction leaders.

Everyone in the Inquisition should be an Inquisitor in some fashion.

You're THE Inquisitor because you're the boss. I don't think you can recruit people to your equal station.

I don't think the Inquisition is defined by individuals with magical power derived from ceremony.

You don't need to go around drinking blood to be an Inquisitor. You just need to ask questions. And having an army can't hurt.

But what would happen if the only inquisitor is killed? There should be people recruited as a inquisitor, instead of just people working under him.

Maybe you'll employ some mercenaries at some point, they probably wouldn't be considered inquisitors. If they are part of your organisation, the inquisition, they are part of the inquisition (and thus inquisitors).

The warden doesn't recruit people to the wardens. Hence they're not wardens.

Then his second in command is the new boss.

The Inquisitor just means "the guy who leads the inquisition." Not "the only guy allowed to ask questions."

You may hire all kinds of people to be part of the Inquisition, merchants, mercenaires, artisans,... But as the founder of the Inquisition you get to decide what skills are needed in those leading the Inquisition, be it leadership or detective skills (that excluded Cullen XD) for example. Recruiting someone to one day become a inquisitor would mean training that person in such skills until is ready to be called inquisitor and recieve the status and responsibilities.

All I keep thinking about when I read this thread is Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, where you could recruit assassins by destroying Borgia towers, and could send them out on missions to gain xp. You could also call them to aid you during battle, or use them as a distraction.

The distraction part seems like it could be pretty handy.

Seriously, if my Inquisitor could do that AND have hidden blades, I would squee until the cows came home.

I was thinking of Assassin's Creed Revelations XD The recruited assassins are a bit more realized as Ezio gets to act as assassin trainer (jedi master style) in a few missions before they are ready to effectively defend a base. I think something like that could also work for the generals in charge of defending the keeps of DA.

It wouldn't make sense as the title "Inquisitor" specifically refers to the person who leads the Inquisition. You recruit forces who will become a part of/support the Inquisition, but it's not possible to have an army of Inquisitors as that title is solely referring to the leader. I don't know if there are specific positions to those immediately below you in ranks, but if there are.. then those would be the proper titles to bestow on those who are not the Inquisitor, yet are important players.

At least that is my understanding of the term.

But we are suppose to be building the inquisition from the ground up, I would think that we have other known members as inquistors, the people that working for us are actually allies and we are a organization and would hope we can have people to call actually inquisitors. =]

I do tend to get those two confused. I played both. Image IPB

See? That's what I'm saying. I'd love to see that kind of interactivity and sense of ownership and pride with the people you recruit and lead.

We are supposed to be building the inquisition from the ground up. I would think that we would have other known

members as inquisitors, which would mean someone who would still keep the inquisitors as a whole, instead of the

allies going back to their own organization. The people that working for us are actually allies, and not people that

would stick around after everything is back to normal. If we are truly building the Inquisition, we should have members

that are inquisitors by name instead of saying like the Templars, Mages, Dalish, Seekers, Wardens, and Chantry that

worked with us to help investigate the tear of the Veil. All of those things stand on their own and the Inquisitor

basically need their help either by volunteer or force, and Inquisitors just sound like a badass group of people that

don’t need an armor but a few people. :D
