I guess the central question is this : how good will the story be? Will it be on par with Bioshock: infinite's?

This is true; in Portal, the protagonist is the evil one. She murders her only friend just to complete a test. Sickening.David7204 wrote...
For example, I wouldn't think of Glados as evil.

An Imperial with a conscious?
What would you call Scourge? Or Vitiate? Or Revan (pre-memory loss)?

That's just not true. Forget that Bioshock is video game for a moment. It's not about linear vs. nonlinear. It's about good stories vs. bad. You almost never have evil protagonists in any fiction. Video game or non video game.
Evil protagonists are not generally bad in video games. They're bad in fiction altogether.
I've said this before, and I'll saying it again: saying anything in fiction is by definition "bad" (people like using Deus Ex Machina) is a critical lack of understanding.
They are tools.

From what I know of Scourge, he's evil but thinks the Emperor's crazy. Vitiate is the Emperor, with all that entails. Revan... I'm not sure, I never played KotOR.An Imperial with a conscious?

I have one. I'm making the best use of my timecard, then never subscribing again because Austin is a piece of ****.In a word? Awesome. I have four of them.

Who is going to coup them? Or did you mean they will die in the process of trying to perpetrate a coup on the Emperor?

Huh. I've been a subscriber since the beginning. No complaints yet, though I'll probably switch to Star Citizen once that comes out.

You know why though? It's not because he cares, but because he has a code that he's been given that he follows that satisfies his urges and allows him to clean up the lowest denominator of society.
In later seasons, he has indeed killed innocent people (while letting people who are guilty go free... like Hannah... and Zach... and Debra.)
He was fully prepared and indeed fullly intended to kill LaGuerta in Season 7 just because she was onto him. He killed Hannah's father, who, while being an ****, was innocent according to his code.
Dexter isn't a good guy. It's shown that he is objectively an evil guy that works for the good guys. A sociopathic hero. It's ironic since he becomes a much more normal and human character as the series progresses. He actually falls in love (with Hannah) and dreams of giving up the killing life to have a life with her... and it's ironic since this is the time when he's also killing people (or planning on killing people) that don't fit his code.
To quote Sherlock: "I may be on the side of the angels, but don't think for one second that I am one of them."

There are two major problems. The first is probably not really their fault, which is that this game should never have been an MMO to begin with; all that makes it is an inferior WoW clone with a whole bunch of wasted story potential. The second, which definitely is, is their utterly botched lack of attempt at romance equality, not to mention remarkably sexist writing within the romances themselves.Zu Long wrote...

Everything in every story is always largly based on presentation. I'm unsure what your point is.LindsayLohan wrote...
