Well, here's the picture.

Loved DA:O, really enjoyed KOTOR...

Never played Mass Effect.

So, Should I got and get the first one? Will it give me a similar experience to the bioware games I've emjoyed?

Have to say, I know nothing about Mass Effect.

Handheld thinks the first one is definitely a must have with the second one around the corner it would be great to begin at its roots and learn about the conflicts and why they were conflicts to begin with.



Handheld also thinks you might see Helga the massage krogan handheld also says if you do see her then save yourself.

As another one who really enjoyed Kotor and quite a few other Bioware titles I would recommend Mass Effect.

Do ME1. You can get it for like $10 now and it is quite enjoyable.

Handheld has a good point!

Mass Effect is really a story much larger than any single game in series. So yes, it's worth to get and play first game, or you will enter second one with very limited background info.

That would be too bad really, the very fact that its a unique and rich IP make Mass Effect so interesting.
