Exactly, why can't we do the same thing, but for different reasons? Like how we could kill off the Council in ME1, but be doing it to form a pro-human Council, or for purely military gain with an all alien Council afterwards.

I'm for the use of Reaper Tech.

Problem is, indoctrination is an inherent problem and risk. And I don't think we can really control the CB.

Are you sure it was an issue of writers? She seems rather consistant in ME2 to ME3. The strange shift in her personality happens after ME1.

I think they just wanted to change what her character was after the first game. Or they wanted to mature her and just did a poor job of it. 

I'd disagree, in ME3 she seems stuck between the two.  She casually shoots two cerberus troops like it was no deal, but she loses her cool the second she sees an asari in distress.

I'd just chalk that up to her being more emotional when she sees innocents of her own species dying as opposed to Cerberus troops trying to kill her.

Well ME has a habit of assuming you was friends with everyone. Liara still saves your body from the Collectors and acts like your friend even if you treated her like garbage in ME1.

Either way its a step back from LotSB, she was willing to sacrifice Sekat for her own ends

It's going to happen. David pops up in every thread thats big. I don't even need to say anything else. 

It is the only way, for characterization makes it so.
