I thought it was kind of funny if in very poor taste, but was assuming it was just in reply to fellow forumites talking about someone's passing. If that was said to a grieving relative it goes well beyond gallows humor to straight up sociopathic douchebaggery. If someone actually said that to a relative it would be one of those circumstances where it is shame that internet anonymity protects a person from getting a real life punch to the face.

Speaking as an admin and mod for several small fansites and message boards for over 10 years I would say that closing an entire forum for one post in one thread (and I do find that example in very poor taste to say the least) is extreme overkill.

Since you seem to have some issues w/ reading comprehension, I've taken the liberty of taking a screen shot of what happened.
Perhaps if you read it slowly enough, you'll be able to find that I didn't refer to the BSN as the worst forum on the Internet. Just compare the words in my post. You'll see that the words "worst," "on," "the," or "Internet."=]

I certainly don't hope the "sweat" post was the reason it was closed. I read that as weird, but also so over the top that it was genuinely hilarious. 
However at it's root it was no worse or better than discussing the scientific basis for... "Did shep survive reentry in the beginning of me2 or was he just left in orbit." ... Or Faster Than Light travel... Or any other multitude of topics relevant to the game.
It just had hilarious icky details factor.
That said there are multitude of malcontents and more or less mentally ill people (I AM one!) using the internet grieving other people. I think the fault needs to placed on the individuals causing problems not the "forum as a whole".
