I would take comments with a grain of .
He doesn't say they'll show up in DAI.
The decisions and actions the warden and hawke carried out will have a big influence on DAI.
That's what I believe he means.
If other players believe it means the warden and hawke will show up in DAI, they're welcome to do so.

If that was case then not warden is important in game only decisions that they take in first game.

Warden suffered the same fate as King Maric.

He got kidnapped by a Tevinter cult and hooked up to an ancient artifact that was powered by his blood?

...That sounds disturbingly plausible.

somewhere in Tevinter there's a room full of Jedi that are being force harvested just like in KotOR.

Wouldn't that require her to have dragon's blood, though? I've heard the theory before, considered it, but it seems a little silly that ALL the potential Warden families passed down special flower blood.... :S

I suggest it manly because the warden's blood has been altered using archdemon blood.

Well, it's entirely possible for the Warden to be a Reaver.

But evildude didn't specific that they're being held by a Tevinter dragon cult. I'd imagine that place has dozens of cults running around. Could well be that there's a darkspawn cult that's using the warden for their tainted blood in an entirely different ancient artifact.

It's not like Bioware hasn't blatantly recycled plotlines before.

Well, my City Elf's dirty mudblood was apparently not good enough for Finn's "find the elven lanterns" ritual in Witch Hunt, so it can't be that special.

Blood descended from Arlathan nobility wasn't enough either, so probably not. :S

I thought Finn said it was because he needed blood not tainted like a Grey Warden's blood?

I wondered that when I did Witch Hunt with a Dalish.  Why Ariani and not him?

The taint in The Warden was the problem; that's why Finn used Ariane's blood instead.

Right, but only the Dalish elf gets to say "Why Arianne? Why not my blood?"

I guess all elves are descended from Arlathan, but some elves are more descended than others. Napoleon would approve.

As for spectre's post. which I didn't see, people can believe what they want.

You seem to be misunderstanding something I don't believe or expect anything in regards to them appearing physically in some sort of role and even said so nor do I care if they actually show up or not, what I meant was people can not be sure of anything since again the writers and the devs have both said that they might appear physically in the game the keyword is might.

Those are only some of the quotes from them hinting at them possibly showing up physically for example Schumacher said that it wasn't off the table but go into it with the mindset that he/she might not appear and we shouldn't expect it.

Gaider said again IF they show up physically as NPC'S it will be up to them and we have little control over them except how they look not and not anymore than that since once the game ends we loose all control over them except their appearance.

Also if you or anyone else consider their playthroughs as headcanon than don't because they don't care about that and said as much in the quote I posted which is one of the reasons I don't consider them as headcanon and have never done so because once they announced it will be a new character in DA2 and later DA:I I knew we lost control over the warden and hawke and again IF they show up its up to them not us the only way the warden won't appear if if they choose not to use them or you make he or she dead.

I would just as soon not have them appear. I consider their story done. I want to play somebody completely new and different without interference from past protagonists. Sure, there are a few loose ends but I don't need to see either of pc to close those threads. I would just as soon have snatches of a bar story or random conversations.

The Warden
"We could sure use a hero like the Warden, the HoF."
"Yeah, too bad s/he died killing the Archdemon." / "Well, at least she's helping King Alistair control things in Fereldan." / "Unfortunately s/he is somewhere in the Deep Roads tracking some powerful darkspawn."

Hawke
"I'll bet if the Champion of Kirkwall were here these demons would think twice."
"Isn't s/he out their with a bunch of Templars/mages on his/her tail after what happened with the Chantry? Maybe if they weren't so busy seeking revenge for not siding with them the Champion would be in a position to help us. Can't help if s/he don't survive. Damn fools if you ask me."

or part of a personal journal, memoir or report found which tells us what happened.

Shrug.

Seconded.
