I had a thought that developers may or may not have had, who knows eh? I just thought it would be kind of cool.
Wandering Merchant Caravan, that is somewhat hard to find, and could be only in one region or all of them. You can come across them traveling or set up (either by themselves or maybe in a keep). Maybe they have crafting recipes or materials, rare stuff for gold, a few quests here and there that lead to something cool. Maybe some people will never come across them, some others may keep following them randomly. But it would be cool to come upon a traveling caravan and not just settlements and establishments everywhere.
Im sure they could follow a road and travel from keep to city to village. Could be nice with the new engine and such. Just a thought.

Yea i know. And that could be much cooler with an open world instead of a chance at stopping in a certain spot or two while traveling the map. And since they already did it in origins they might have already done it in inquisition. Idk I just thought about it earlier and wanted to put it down.

Kind of like how the new Fallout games had merchants roaming about?

Might be interesting, so long as they don't goddamn die like the ones in Fallout 3 or Skyrim. God, that was frustrating.
I'm not sure if they should be hard to find, though. The whole point of being a merchent is doing business with as many people as you can.

I thought that was a neat touch from Fable. Random traders about and sometimes you could buy better gear than you were supposed to have early in the game.
Or get sweet mustaches.

Yea like the ones from fallout and fable. And maybe some sort of event to unlock them or something? And hopefully they wouldnt die. Travelling across the well established roads would probably make them easier to find and yea the serve many people thing makes sense, yay logic. lol

It'd be fun if you an find them in improbable places, like at the end of a cave filled with monsters.

Though I guess they weren't exactly "rare."
