I played the 360 version before the EC and, like many others, I was less than satisfied. I was all set to get a ME tattoo because up until I finished ME3 the Mass Effect series was my all time favorite gaming series and I've been gaming since the days of pong machines. We owned one. I ruled pong in my house as a child.

So anyway, I've read about the extended cut stuff and I've watched a couple of clips. I'd like to go through the game with all the DLC but I was contemplating buying the PC version as I traded in my copies of ME1, ME2 CE, and ME3 CE after finishing the 3rd installment.

I know that I'm probably setting myself up to buy the game and all it's DLC only to be just as disapointed as I was the first time through. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I do want to replay the game with all of the DLC to see if I feel any differently about it.

So was controller support ever added into the PC version? If not I'm just going to find a cheap copy for the 360.

No official support, but there are ways around it. Google-fu is your friend. Honestly though, I am a PC player but don't turn up my nose to using a controller, but in ME's case, the controls are far superior using a kb+m. Not having to pause the action to use powers because of hotkeys are a big plus.

The other great thing about the PC version is the abundance of mods. Not the easiest to install, mind you but the higher res textures, reskins of Cerberus armor/weapons and MEHEM if that's your cup of tea await you.

I want to get the PC version just to see the mods but I'm more than partial to playing ME games with a controller. I may as well just get a used copy of the 360 version. I thought about the Wii U but the Wii U is my kid's domain and I don't want to tread there. lol

I hate the ending to ME3 so bad. I hope the new series has a more defined story line. I was all set to completely avoid the next Dragon Age game and the next Mass Effect game but after seeing footage of Dragon Age : Inquisition my cold shoulder melted and I was instantly drawn back in.

Was looking for this. Saw a thread that stated controller support was getting added in Extended Cut? But it doesn't seem to be there. My PC is hooked up to a TV and I play from a couch. I have a lapdesk I use to type and use a mouse, but there's not enough room/comfort to game on it. So, I need controller support...
