Has anyone mapped any of the terrain?  I have gone on missions where upon landing on a planet, there are areas where the Mako appears to no have access to (cannot get to).

Example - on theplanet Nodaccrux, there are three locations of interest.  The map shows that I am in proximity of these locations but the mountains steeps won't allow the Mako to get to them.

I know that there has to be a way.

Thanks,

The mini map available through the menu provides a simplified topographic relief. The whiter an area, the higher the elevation. So look at that to try to find a way around the cliffs. Often there are "roads" available, you just have to find them. Any place that has "rock" texture is bad, so look for green/snow/sand textures and head for those. It is often better to go diagonally up a cliff than straight up. Some areas are super hard to get to, but I have not found any that are flat out unreachable.

Finally, the Mako sucks. The Hammerhead is much better. Just ask Cortez.

None of the marked locations are inaccessible, although some (like one of the Nodacrux ones) are pretty hard to get to.

Hey Cap and Gown, since I have been on this forum, you have been extremely helpful....:police: thanks a bunch (trust me, there will be more questions).  In fact, here is one right now.  How does one go about getting this Hammerhead vehicle that you spoke of?

Thanks -

The Hammerhead is a vehicle found in a ME2 DLC, Firewalker. The entire DLC basically is about using the Hammerhead to complete missions. The reference to Cortez is from ME3 where Vega and Cortez debate the relative merits of the Mako vs the Hammerhead.
