Out of the Turian, Asari, and Salarian (Assuming they survived...)

Personally I think the Asari was the most level headed and reasonable of the three. The Salarian just sorta seemed like he was there to be there and the Turian had some obvious animosity.

Just curious as to some other opinions, and trying to kill time!

edit: spelled it wrong :P I fail.

Honestly, the Asari is the only choice unless you enjoy the Turian's inability to accept anything that wasn't hard physical evidence. The Salarian struck me as the typical yes man politician that has nothing major to say and just goes with the flow.

Asari are the mediators, no surprise the asari counciler tries to mediate quarrels and strikes compromises.

Totally spelled it wrong :P Sorry, I fail sometimes!

On a related note, do the councilors have specific time limits that they can serve? I never really read through the codex so pardon my ignorance. I'd assume that would give the Asari quite an advantage and the poor Salarians would be going through councilors left and right.

Well character wise the turian since he actually had a personality. But the asari was more level headed and made a better councilor. The salarian was just there for show.

I'm going to go with the Turian. Although we are always locking horns over politics, I'd like to think we'd make good comrades on the battlefield if such a time came.

I doubt you'd see a councilor on the battlefield.

I think that the Salarians are one of the most underrated species in the ME universe. I was super stoked when it was a Salarian STG instead of more Turians or Asari on Virmire. The Salarian Councilor seems to go with the flow as far as the few conversations you have with him, but he is the representative of the species responsible for intelligence. He probably has an ace or two up his sleeve.

I think Bioware set up the three councilors as symbols of their races: the Asari was diplomatic, the Turian disapproved of breaches in protocol and expected you to act as a subordinate and the Salarian kept to the background, informing you of relevant information but neither being confrontational nor coddling you.

Asari Councilor is the most level-headed, I think she is the only one who tried to defend Shepard's actions. Though I like hooded Salarian as well, it looks like he was wearing headphones all the times which will explain why he rarely participates in the dialogues!

The asari was weak and deferred to the Turian. The Salarian didn't seem as afraid and he accepted Shepard's responses to his questions thoughtfully.

The Asari one.

She's one of the better looking Asari in the game, which always helps...

The Turian guy disagrees with everything and the Salarian doesn't say much:huh:

I hated them all, useless bunch of feet-dragging politicians. I suppose I hated the Asari the least, and the Turian the most (which I'm sure is the case for most people). Either way, I left them all to burn.

QFT. I like how no matter which path you take on the important choices, he always says you f'd up. If you save the Rachni queen, he says you might have doomed us all; if you kill her, he says you acted recklessly and doomed the rachni to extinction again.

He's just an F'n racist, that's what he is. Most turians in the game are (except Garrus and Nihlus). That being said, most humans in the game are as well.

On a side note, was anyone else pissed off when they saved the Council (if you did)? It's the paragon thing to do, but when you really think about it, it'd equate to the United States (or Canada or GB, if you like) sacrificing 100,000+ soldiers to save the head of the United Nations. There's always another Asari, Turian, or Salarian to take the seat....that choice seemed kinda off....like thrown in at the last minute. Either you save the council and send humans to their deaths because you want to be good, or you say "F$#% you, smelly aliens, I'm a renegade" and tell Joker to forget about them.
