I ment a character that's perfect for you just the way BW made it, and you couldn't hqve made it better yourself.

Talon mercenary..... I was going to go FULLTIME into defiance until I caught a strong sniff of the carnage this kit was able to do. And his god aweful squishyness gave me a sense of balance. And I had uber success backpacking platinum pugs by the barrels with that kit. I still have a blast playing him. This kit is a big part why I still play mass effect. People need to play this kit more often. Lowest played platinum kit is mind boggeling
I must admit, didn't play it after it was buffed until recently and I have to say he's awesome. It really hurts me that I can't do 6/6/6/6/6 with him.

I walked away from MP for a long while, and then the Earth DLC came out and so I gave the game another go. Day one I got a Fury. She hooked me. First kit I ever really used on gold consistently. First kit I took to platinum. Still one of my all time favorites... if a bit host dependent.

Mix the Volus Adept with a crusader + warp rounds and you have one hell of a fun character to play.

It's the quantity, not the quality, that kept things interested for a while. Usually I get bored of a kit long before the game is done. The fast majority of kits are one-trick-ponies.
A handful of weapons and melee are the things I like best about this game. Thanks to the horrible limitations of consoles it's not likely we get to have more interesting characters next time. I rather have a dozen versatile kits (with 5 or 6 active abilities so you actually have options in combat) than two dozen with only 3 like we have today (spamming the same one or two powers over and over again).

And there's a lot of kits which don't have as I like to think of it 3 completely "active" abilities anyway.
Biotic focus, stim packs, repair matrix, hunter mode, all grenades (should be equippable like weapons), armour abilities (aside from detonation)...
So it leads to much repetitive pressing of the same one or two abilities, considering melee is an afterthought on a lot of kits - I'd like to see at least 5 "powers" per character in the next game, and a lot more variety in gameplay. They can find a way on a console controller, because the alternative is far too restrictive compared to singleplayer.
In a similar way we should be able to customise weapons far more, perhaps even have multiple firing modes per weapon.
To answer the thread title, no single kit "does it" for me. Each kit has one or two powers and possible melee I like, and usually one power or melee I'd like to swap.

No -- the balance nerfs makes no one character suitable for all things, especially when you factor in on/off-host lag (which I'm not sure BioWare intended?)FuriousFelicia wrote... I mean is there a character that is just perfect the way it is for you ...

It doesn't matter if it was intended, they should have anticipated that off host lag will always exist. Anything that has a basis online will have lag.
