Templar propaganda on the malificar front every time we see abominations they are people forced to desperation by the oppression of the circles.  The Dalish live outside human society constantly on the move to escape being forced to convert by the chantry.   The maker stole mortals birthright by sealing off the spirit world.  So yes good.

Death to the chantry all hail the old gods.

Right, let's abolish the chantry and let every mage use blood magic freely. Let's see where that goes huh? Oh right, Tevinter...

Them without the chantry and the decadence and oppression it bought and we have a decent start

Sure because slavery, oppression, mass murder and abuse of power are totally fine.

Like I said without the decadence and corruption the chantry caused.  Using condemned criminals as magic fodder and sentencing less severe criminals to slavery instead of wasting money building prisons is the same as execution and being sent to the alienages for walking whilsr elven with the advantage in the second case of being just.

Tevinter during the days of the Cult of the Old Gods was by far worse than Tevinter today with the Imperial Chantry. Nowadays there is at least a theoretical taboo against blood magic. In the ancient days the magisters were left to practice blood sacrifices to "horrifying excess" rather than just the "widespread abuse" of today. Blood magic was used in religious rituals and and construction back then.

A better way of dealing with the condemned than execution,  and it will take decades to run out of templars and sisters so in magic we give their deaths
the value of being helpful to the community something that in life they were the antithesis of.

Hey, why don't try taking on an exsulted mach with no help. We would of taken Orlais if they did not beg the chantry for help.

History contradicts this. Orlais needed all the Andrastian nations to defeat the elves.

Funny Zevran should come up here. I just killed him last night (yet again) after his pathetic assassination attempt in DAO.

Because Orlais was severely weakened after the blight. The elves didn't had that problem because they didn't helped in the fight against it.

That's funny because the Orlesians attacked the Dales first. They were weaken by the blight and still picked a fight. Then needed the chantry to bail them out of a fight they started.

We don't know who attacked first. But Orlais did not need other Andrastian nations to defeat the Dales. Only Orlesians participated in the Exalted March.

According to the World of Thedas the border skirmishes escalated when the elves attacked Red Crossing.

So what if the Chantry bailed them out or other nations helped?

The end result was the destruction of the elven state with the elves herded into ghettos or scattered to the wind to live as nomads.

They couldn't win at their most powerful as a nation with a standing army and now they are nothing more than a pale shadow of their former selves.

Do note that the chantry is in chambles and Orlais is divided with in it self. You can't stop a united elven front like that.

And what you said is elvish propaganda. Forgive me if I don't take the word of a bunch of elves who were too good to help save existence against the blight.

Hi, guys, nice comments :)

First of all, I don't think the elves really attacked the humans during a blight. Humans may probably have lied about that...You know how propaganda works. But the truth is, I don't know, and I don't think that's relevant to what's happening right now. I mean, reflect on our own history, we're all descendents of thieves, rapists and mass murderers. Should we be constantly ashamed of ourselves and not do anything noble ever? And I think it's absolutely insane to think that's reason enough to exterminate the elves. That's borderline fascism, remember the "final solution"?

And I think the elves' best hope is to ally with the Qunari, the Qunari have always been friendly to the oppressed elves and casteless dwarves in Thedas...well, more friendly than humans at the very least.

Allying with the Qunari is fine if you want to end up a Qunari, but pretty foolish if you want to keep your own culture, freedom and whatnot.

As long as you do, say and act exactly how they wish you to and give you some kind of illusion of freedom.
